Hey all. I’ve just started doing Waterbury’s High Frequency Systems. Is doing his Pullup/Pushup/Lunge challenge at the same time too much frequency?

I am not familiar with the Lunge/Pull/push challenge.
Why don’t you just say how many training sessions per muscle group that is per day/per week.
Ultimately the answer to this question depends on YOU: training history, recovery times, intensity level, volume, caloric intake, hours slept per night, etc.
Make sure your sleeping like a baby and eating like a horse.

I’d say it has a lot to do with your goals. If you’re looking to boost general conditioning, it might work. If you’re looking to increase your bodyweight exercise numbers, it’d probably be too much overlap since both training methods work towards that.
If you’re looking for more size, it might work, it might not. Depends on exactly how you layout your training week. If you’re looking to increase strength, it should work alright, depending on how you layout your training week.
So basically,

^ This.
Tiger, you’re kinda asking, “I want to cook with onions and fish. Is that okay?”
That’s a bit vague, huh?

You would be hitting legs shoulders back, biceps, triceps, you would be missing a bunch of other important muscles. If you did weights 2 days a weeks and that 2 days a week you can really have a great variety in your workouts, at the sametime you can do the frequency workout. Its sounds a lot like the cross fit stuff… On a a given day. They have a lot of change in there workouts. I say go hard at it for 3 weeks see how you feel, in those three weeks play with it a little and see what works the best. Sounds high intensity! Another quick question: when Waterbury says “pull up or pulldown(palms up)”, does he mean a LAT pull down or the straight arm pull down. I’m assuming he means LAT pull down as it is more similar to a pull up, but i wanted to be sure. Thanks
