Can someone take too much of it?
If someone would take like 20 capsules in one day, could there be adverse effects?
Or is fish oil one of those things that “the more you take the better”?
Thanks.

I believe some of the authors here have said with inferior fish oils one had to take some ridiculously high amount of caps through the day to get the needed EPA and DHA ratios. Plus you have contaminants present.
With Flameout you are getting the correct needed ratios for males and you only need to take two in the morning and two in the evening and it’s clean.

I probably take around 15-20 a day. GNC brand. No problems here.
I’m currently taking 35.6 grams of fish oils a day (equivalent of two full dosages of Flameout with near ratio), 4 grams cla, and usually about 40grams fat from walnuts in a day (more omega-3). I feel good. My joints feel good, Thank God, considering i’m dieting. when my body fat levels go this low i get joint pain but i have not so far. There are too many benefits to omega-3 fatty acids and also consider the rest of your diet which is probably rich in omega 6. laters pk

I presently take 8 x 1000g of fish oil a day, and have taken up to 15 x 1000g a day, and it works wonders. If you want another low down on fish oil, go to Cooperwellness.com. On the left side clink radio programs archive, then click on the past shows. About the 10th of may or june the MD who takes care of the Pittsburg Steelers was on for one hour talking with either Dr Cooper or the radio host on fish oil.
Really a good hour of info.

Contaminants?
THanks for the reply, I understand Flameout is the best option as with all supplements here on T-Nation, but being a south american T-Nation member I’m just able to get the free stuff off this site! (great info)
The reason I asked is because I believe the fish oil ingredients act by substituting arachidonic acid in the process of synthesizing prostaglandins, creating a “weaker” inflammatory response. Is it a good idea to keep it this way every day of the week?
thanks for your replies.

Whats the benefit to 2 in the morning and 2 before bed? I take all 4 of mine with my lunch. Bad idea? Does it really make a difference?
This may sound like a rant, and I don’t mean to insult anyone, but why can’t this question get answered directly without a plug for a Biotest product? granted they make great supplements that I along with the majority of the people on this forum enjoy, but Flameout really didn’t need to get mentioned for the question to be properly discussed, let alone answered.
More omega three,
less omega six.
Omega six fatty acids ARE important, but you don’t want to take too much omega six, since everyone gets more than enough with todays processed foods.
Try to focus more on omega three.

I happen to believe in the quality of supps here and the original poster mentioned the high number of caps that had to be taken. Flameout was designed to alleviate that. Why can’t you just disregard a positive comment if it bothers you?
Take care,

Why is it now a bad thing to mention quality Biotest products in threads in which they are relevant?
Hell, I think the mods should come on here and plug Biotest products in all threads in which they apply.
This isn’t a government-funded site, Biotest pays the bills. Besides, it’s not like Flameout isn’t a great product either.
Get over it.

That is just convenient for me, I didn’t mean to imply everyone should follow that. My take home point is it’s only four caps in a day for optimum supplementation versus multiple doses.

No. It’s fine to take all at once.

I think mentioning Flameout is relevant in any thread where fish oil mentioned. Not mentioning is probably a disservice. Afer all, aside from being a little more expensive, who wouldn’t want to get in 4 pills what requires 16+ pills to get from most other brands.

the thing that’s annoying is this mythical panacea seems only available to the chosen few who can afford to fill the fifth bay of their garage with it and feed it to their dogs by the bottle.
for the rest of us little people who live day to day, week to week, month to month, discussing a product that will return “soon as” isn’t very relavent.

What the hell are you talking about?
I take 15g a day…I remember reading somewhere that C.Poliquin recommended between 15-30g for weight training males.

He’s saying not everyone can afford expensive supplements…in a nutshell.

Yeah, swivelese is a hard language to understand sometimes. Allow me to attempt a rough translation:
I’m f***ing pissed that Flameout’s still out of stock, so quit reminding me about it already!
