Hey, I’m just saying that eating 4+ DOZEN eggs every single day seems excessive, there has got to be some sort of health consequences for that…One would think, anyway…But hey, I’m no doctor…
What’s wrong with eating wheat bread as a carb source, it’s not like its the only source I use, I use it with legumes, oatmeal/cream of wheat, any vegetable, and potatoes, I don’t see how someone can go wrong with those kinds of carbs.[/quote]
And like I said, I also think he would better off mixing up his protein sources, but not because any number of eggs are harmful, but because the different amino acid profiles would be beneficial.
There is nothing tragic about whole wheat bread as A carb source, but you made it sound like he should eat loaves at a time in place of his eggs.
i do eat loaves at a time…but only on weekends lol. its not like i eat only eggs either i mix in other meats and fats as well its just that considering the portions i am eating the egg is the most financially logical and efficent choice, trust me if i could afford it id be eating filet mignon and kobe beef all day.

What are your stats dude? I am known here as somebody who believes in eating big to get big, but you must be 9 feet tall, 400 pounds or have one high octane metabolism. Or a tapeworm or any combination of the above.
Very informative thread. I’m just sick and tired of everyone not believing me when I tell them eggs are good for you. Even after I list off all the minerals and vitamins and explain the differences between saturated and monounsaturated fats… fucking ignorance.
BTW, i only eat 4 whole eggs a day. My sister keeps giving warnings about my cholesterol levels and my mom thinks that working out is bad for me (unfortunately she saw my stretch marks).

I just did the math and I’ve eaten literally around 5000 whole eggs and at least a couple hundred pounds of unlean beef in the last 15 months and my cholesterol is a bit low if you believe that means anything. I wish I could live long enough to see it, but I’m tellin ya, one day we will have finally outgrown all this anti cholesterol low fat mania and lament all the needless suffering and countless billions, by that time trillions, of dollars that were wasted combating an imaginary enemy. Practically synthetic, processed and or industrially ruined toxic waste that passes for food these days is the enemy. Not natural traditional foods that have been eaten without issue for millennia before the dawn of the deadly 20th century.
I’ll agree with most all of the “cholesterol/lipids aren’t bad for you” stuff here. The big problem in heart disease and atherosclerosis is insulin and carbohydrate metabolism. Cholesterol with regular/low blood sugar is good. Cholesterol with high blood sugar = bad. I’m sure most of you pro-cholesterol guys know this, but if not then look into it.
I’ll also say that I eat between 5000-6000 calories each day, and at one point I was eating 7000/day to gain mass. My cholesterol was pretty high, like 240. After starting the AD my cholesterol dropped to about 190 and my lipid profile was also improved.
I also use AAS (which is where I mostly post, so most of you guys won’t recognize me), which are known to pretty much fuck your cholesterol and lipid profiles. Even with a low-carb/high-fat diet, mucho eggs, butter, fatty meat (although I do well-balance my overall fat intake), my profiles are better now than when I was natural and high-carbing it. Something to think about for you naysayers.

Yes, and like I say, the plague of insulin resistance is a direct consequence of eating outta control quantities of processed/refined/fast foods. I’m not saying that every person on Earth should disregard their blood lipid profile.
I am saying that so called high cholesterol is an absolute non issue for people who’s overall health is in order and even if it’s not, dietary intake of SO CALLED cholesterol is not the cause of it being high. There is some evidence that saturated fat intake has a negative impact, but all of this applies only to people who are already at actual risk and most likely got that way with a long history of eating modernized shit “food” and sitting on their asses all day.
Active otherwise healthy people, especially young people, have nothing to fear and everything to gain from traditional, historical whole foods that were eaten with abandon since the dawn of humanity long before entire populations started coming down with all these usually avoidable diseases.
However, the mainstream medical/pharmaceutical establishment, not every individual, but as an industry, are more than happy to keep you in fear of REAL food while filling you with drugs and or sending you to the surgeon for problems that have either been caused by their idiotic recommendations or are not actually problems at all.
Bottom line? If we would’ve just left food in it’s natural state from the beginning and wisely turned to exercise in the wake of the industrial revolution with it’s effortless transportation and jobs none of this would be happening. It will not change in our lifetimes though because most people are sycophantic followers, especially where alleged medical science is concerned, and are more than happy to continue paying for the opulent lifestyles of the insurance executives and messianic medical professionals.
Trib, good points. High cholesterol profiles are not bad for “normal, healthy” people. I can’t remember where I read it, but one of the major longitudinal studies correlated cholesterol with disease and mortality factors, and it found that when you control for a couple other “not-normal” (for lack of a better word) factors, cholesterol itself had no impact on either factor. I think either either the same resource or another found that too low cholesterol in older adults was more correlated with certain disease and mortality outcomes. I know you know this, but it’s more for those who don’t.
I gotta say, I love when I go through the checkout at the grocery store and people give me looks just watching all the red meat, butter, eggs, cottage cheese, and bacon roll down to the cashier. You can just see them thinking that my heart will explode right there.
One time a cashier commented “That’s a lot of food,” and since I was feeling goofy I had to reply “I’m a lot of man, honey.” She laughed.

That IS entertaining isn’t it?!?!?
I buy 30 dozen eggs, 20 pounds of beef or more, mountains of chicken thighs and several pounds of real butter when the sales hit and they look at you like… “ya know you could just blow your brains out it’d be quicker”
Where do you put 30 dozen eggs? I can only buy eight at a time, which is about a weeks worth. I heard you could leave them unrefrigerated, and I actually used to leave them sit out on the counter for years. I have a giant freezer for the meat though, and buying like 30-40lbs at a time when it’s on sale is certainly funny.

I get em in cases of 15 dozen each and just put em in the basement. They last about 3 weeks. I eat the majority, but not all of em.
