Not completely on topic, but have you guys heard about the rape charges brought against Wikileaks spokesperson Julian Assange in Sweden?

The country’s laws are fucked up, shit’s ridiculous.
So you’re saying rape should be legal?
It’s like Al Capone, they knock scumbags for shit they can actually prove (I don’t feel that strongly against Assange though, he is just a very juvenile attention whore, not a super-villain or anything).
Dude read about the definition of rape under Swedish law. It’s extremely ridiculous.
I’m part of generation ADD, care to post an excerpt or link?
It’s illegal to fuck a girl who doesn’t want to fuck you. Apparently that’s crazy legislation.

Those of you who haven’t studied Swedish law at a university level shouldn’t talk about the Swedish law. (In much the same way people who haven’t gotten themselves or a large number of clients big shouldn’t be handing out advice on how to get big) Here’s the law. Not that you can understand it. http://notisum.se/rnp/sls/lag/19620700.htm#K6P1S1
First off, don’t give me that BS, unless you have a degree in law you are no in position to discuss it anymore than I am.

Secondly, unless the news reports on the case are completely wrong, he is being charged with rape for insisting on having sex without a condom. The other case was having sex with a chick who was sleeping that he just finished having sex with. Not to mention these two “victims” tweeted and blogged about hooking up with Assange shortly after the “incident.” There was no fucking force in either incident. The definition of rape is ridiculously broad in Sweden, according to the reports in many countries this would NOT be considered rape. He had consent from both these women previously.

Nidhogg I’m not overhyping. I am playing with prejudices. What’s the matter can’t take jokes? I’m just trying to make a statement for Big Brother (USA) here that, whatever word-plays or fail-pictures they present, little brother here (Sweden) isn’t afraid of playing along. I’m not being serious or anything, just trying to play with whatever prefabricated ideas they have of Sweden by presenting notions that us Swedes have of them.

You can stay neutral if you want, you can play Switzerland! Yey!

You’d think that, but I live in VÃ¥rberg and study in Solna at KI. We’re not that different.

sam_sneed, what that cop did was illegal and she got in a little trouble for it, but as I explained would happen with the dude in Sundsvall, not much trouble.
Well it’s good to hear she got punished for that “retardedness”. I think it’s crazy to demand people to piss in a cup for you just because you think they have big muscles. Even in a heavily policed state like the US, they don’t stoop down to that level. Glad to hear it’s illegal in Sweden as well. But from the perspective of big guys like X visiting as tourists, I can understand why he might pass on Assos invite. That’s the last thing I’d want to worry about while trying to enjoy my vacation.

KTH baby! Haha touche! Was trying to make a point by over-exaggerating our positions, but yeah we’re not that different haha.

Fine, I’ll widen the circle. To discuss the laws in Sweden, you have to have read the law you’re discussing. Or have had it explained to you by someone who understands it. That’s bare minimum, and you don’t reach that.

You read an article online. Written by some confused woman who’s talking about “sex by surprise”. A term that doesn’t exist. Sorry, but it doesn’t mean that you know anything about Swedish law.

Source? Im not sure if i should copy paste swedish text into these forums, but read “Brottsbalk (1962:700) 2 kapitlet” and read “PÃ¥följdspraxis av Georg Sterzel” for the correct amounts.

And yes i have seen the rest of the world, what the hell are you comparing to really? Haiti? Im comparing to the rest of eastern europe. I am considering economy, social life, general ambitions of society. Sweden falls waaay behind in comparsion to eastern european countries. Only leechers want to live here.

Like i said, if you live in haiti or some other 3rd world country, come to nursery-sweden. If you have higher ambitions and want to actually earn some money instead of spending half of it on the insanly high taxes, go elsewhere. And lets not mention how they treat the elderly either.

No. A poor person from the inner city ghetto never cooperated with a farm boy to defend the integrity of the US. Never.

I mean there are thousands of inner city men and thousands of farm boys who VOLUNTARILY joined the military and fought together and risked their lives to defend this country but that don’t count right?

I thought you were a little slow at first, but now I’m convinced you’re clinically retarded.

I stand corrected, farmers do know how to defend themselves. My bad.

Here’s another one explained by lawyers: http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20101208/wl_csm/348217

He was having consensual sex with a chick, the condom broke mid-way and he kept going and apparently she withdrew consent. That is considered rape in Sweden. Wow. Withdrawing consent midway???

Also having sex with a sleeping woman you just had consensual sex with is also considered rape. LOL.

The funny part is these two girls went to the police together after because they were worried about contracting HIV. When they explained it to the officers, the officers had told them that that was considered rape. LOL. A woman KNOWS when she is being raped. the fact they had to be explained to them it was rape just shows how fucked the laws regarding rape in Sweden truly are.

Or if you are too lazy let me put it up for you:

I am no lawyer or anything, but i have had my share of trouble with the law which forced me to learn this kind of stuff, because cops only want to fuk you in the ass

8 mile up in this joint! From now on you shall be referred to as Gangstah…

Yea for growing herb, for smoking in amsterdam…im fuckin al capone man. Im not trying to front, im trying to prove a point. That guy called BS when i made a claim about the swedish law regarding this subject, and theres the source.

This makes perfect sense to me. You’re actually saying that if a woman agrees to have sex with you, she’s fair game for the rest of the night.

Not wanting to have sex with some stranger without a condom makes perfect sense to me. And a woman should be allowed to say no. She doesn’t want to get pregnant and she doesn’t want any STDs. If she says no given the new circumstances, he damn well better respect that. If he doesn’t, it is rape.

Let’s say you have consentual sex with a girl and she falls asleep. Does that give you the right to fuck her while she’s sleeping? Do you really think that? I’d like it if some of the women on this site chimed in, but that’s no way to treat a woman and if it later turns out that she doesn’t want him to fuck her while she’s sleeping, I’d say it’s rape.

I don’t know if the allegations are true, but
a) Having sex with someone who says “no” and
b) Fucking someone who’s sleeping and can’t say no until she wakes up
is rape.

I looked it up on my own, but thanks!

It also said that the punishment you can get in Sweden can’t be harder than the maximum punishment where you committed the crime.

Smoking weed in Amsterdam just got dangerous, lol.

Must’ve been a really good dream for her to not wake up when getting fucked. She either must have been high as hell or lying her teeth out. I honestly haven’t read much about the Assange case so I won’t say anything. Please proceed.

I didn’t mean to sound so harsh, I just wanted to know where you found it, and again, thanks!

It’s just that we have dudes from all around the world who can’t read the law saying all sorts of things and I wanted to know if what you wrote was true.

Yes, the taxes are high, but since I don’t have to borrow a few million to go through school, health care is pretty cheap, and I’ll get a nice job when I graduate, I don’t mind. It works for me.

Eastern Europe? Depends on what you mean. Moscow is the most expensive city in the world, I have no idea how honest people make it there. The rest of the former Soviet Union might have low prices on some things, but also low salaries. That’s why people come here for work.

And the rent is so low that the apartment market doesn’t work.

No, you won’t get rich in this country, but achieving a high standard of living is easier here than in most parts of the world. That’s enough for me. Although I do hate the winters sometimes.

Lol i meant WESTERN europe, eastern europe is pretty poor.
Yea if you want to settle down and have kids, sweden isnt too bad if you dont count crimes. But with all too-good-to-be-true things sweden is up for a dark future. Immigrants are raping the the country. Stockholm is a hell hole. You said you lived in sundsvall? Thats probably the reason we dont share the same opinion, smaller places are good to live in.

Easy now, not all immigrants are raping this country. I work, study and pay for everything myself. I am thankful for everything this country has done for me and my family and we all try do to our part in society. And I would like to continue doing so without you having to say disrespectful things like that.

Yes, a lot of people are misusing the welfare system but you are misrepresenting a minority. Give things for free and usually people will be there to use you in order to get it. This isn’t something happening exclusively in Sweden, and I’m not claiming you said that. I know I made fun earlier on, but those were jokes about stereotypes and common prejudices. I do apologise if anyone felt violated, but for you to say that immigrants are raping the country is something I won’t tolerate.
