Tomorrowland

Ultra Music festival down here in Miami gets crazier every year. I love EDM music, but don’t participate in the drug aspect. Basically all of my friends that go will roll face every day of the festival. If you guys watch vids of Tomorrowland or Ultra, and you see everyone wearing sunglasses even when it’s night time, you know why. That’s another reason why they sell water for like 5 bucks a bottle. And even though the music is great, it’s always fun to people watch.

The show my son headlined a couple of weeks ago had a bacon theme! It was crazy. The pics showed obviously wasted kids in all sorts of dress, glowing jewelry, and goofy sunglasses.

I am planning on going next year with a group of friends. I am from Miami so we try to go to Ultra every year as well, which is fun, but does not compare to the intensity of Tomorrowland.

Tickets supposedly do sell out fast as fuck.

I heard the dreamland section of the festival is ridiculous

Would be fun to rage over there since I have noticed use Americans seem to be much bigger than average Euros

Not saying there are not Euros that gym it up, but I traveled Europe all last summer, mostly in Germany, and noticed myself and my other American friends were usually the biggest people wherever we went, except for the random 275+ bouncer

It’s amazing.

The music grows on you. It did at least for me.

Same here.
Ever since my son started composing EDM 6 or 7 years ago, I’ve been a fan of the good stuff. He’s headlined shows this year and I hope his popularity grows to the point where he’s invited to Tomorrowland in a couple of years!

That’s pretty cool

A couple of years is a lofty goal though!

Not really when you consider the “newness” of the genre, it’s size and relative underground status. The potential for artists bringing something new here is better than those trying to break into a mainstream genre.

My son is already starting to make waves.

Never been to it but Detroit is supposed to one of the bigger ones in the US. You are from Jersey so I know you can’t be scared of the 313.

LOL @ 313!

I hadn’t known about that. I’m going to pass that onto my son. Thanks Testy!

I do know that Baltimore and DC are both big EDM fan bases. My own homestate of PA is pathetic about new music. You’d think Philly would be a hub for it, but that’s not the case.

I don’t know much about it but I am pretty sure the Detroit show is one of the pioneers. Every place probably claims that though. I don’t live that close (1-1/2 hours) but I could probably hook you up with accommodations.

You da MAN!

Thanks

If he’s already decently popular ID why not post one of his songs here via youtube?

I have no problem with places making money, but it’s pretty fucked to charge $5 for water when they know ppl are rolling their faces off.

The outdoor festivals generally have refill stations.

The clubs obviously don’t though.
