Oh boy, here we go. Very little puts Push on the warpath here but this is one of dem things.
They don’t need a “lunk alarm” for guys like you. They need a “pussy alarm”.
You’re an idiot. I’m a pussy for doing heavy deadlifts? Eat a dick kid.
Kid?
Does anyone else find that funny?

So they are as expert on nutrition as they are on weight training, eh?..
Obviously, all you can eat= get your dirty bulk on. I think the membership is 10 bucks a month if there was one around me I might sign up just for free pizza night, I bet I could set off the lunk alarm just by eating all you can eat pizza there. I would wear a over sized NFL jersey with the sleeves cut off and a bandanna I would wear a Valeo weightlifting belt loosely around to prevent a back injury will eating pizza.
I would grab AT LEAST two boxes right from the start and if anyone asked me to work in or share I would say “stop trying to hold me down I am bulking!” I would also make caveman like sounds while chewing and belch really loud.
When throwing away my boxes I would drop them from full height onto the floor because when you eat as much as I do sometimes you just can’t gently put it in the trash! It’s called max effort for a reason bitches!
I remember reading on their site that they have jelly bellys for all members at the front desk and sometimes they serve bagels in the morning lol I’ll try to find the link
Hilarious.
My friend dropping the dumbells to come help spot me. I also do heavy deadlifts. Two seperate things. Heavy is a relative word.
And give the internet toughguy routine a break.
edit - since reading comprehension seems to be hard for you I doubt you noticed (although you seem to be able to read profiles) that I’ve only been training for 12 weeks. If you’ve got a problem with my numbers then once again: you can eat a dick all day.

If you’ve been lifting for a total of three fucking whopping months, have some respect for those who have stuck with it for a shitload longer time than you have and have had more results.
A lot of people on here really have to learn some fucking humility.
Get used to it, people are stronger than you. Its not that fucking big of a deal.

12 weeks and you are dropping weights, wow.
iunno why the fuck half you people are complaing about by throwing your weights on the floor when doing DB presses, trying to make your self look bad ass. when i do DB flat bench i always throw my weights on the floor after that last rep, it kills my shoulders otherwise. but then again, my gym also has a rubber layer on the floor made for that kinda crap, and i also work at my gym so i dont give a fuck what people say. also no 1 has complained about it.
infact i dont only throw my dumbbells on the floor, i fuckn wip them infront of me like i own the place - cuz im a bad ass, and thats what bad ass’ do.

Btw, while you’re busy bitching about your employment, the towel bin is probably overflowing.

HA…you’re funny…I slam the weights once and now I’m a tool. Now I suddenly have this horrible attitude. Get over yourself. Oh and ill probably accomplish more in life than you will.
Aren’t you the guy that started a thread about not wanting to do your job with towels at the gym? If you are I have to agree w/ DB about your attitude.
Yeah your right my attitude sucks. You would know, I mean cause you know me and everything. Oh and also try reading previous posts.
I am right. Your attitude does suck. Good luck w/ your rassling career.

12 weeks? Push is a veteran lifter and a pretty good guy. When he discusses gym etiquette and not dropping weights you would be best served to listen and learn.

Flava, who is this woman on your avatar? She is most beautiful.
And to add to the post. I guess I would have said “okay” and went on with my workout. If your pissed at the guy and don’t get along, do the same thing and channel the anger into a 475 attempt the next time. Why let him get into your head like that?

I lift in a university gym and there is this one personal trainer who is always getting on to me and my lifting partner. We aren’t really doing anything bad, just things like letting the weights hit the ground kind of hard (they’re heavy damnit), and not reracking the weights immediately after we’re done (cause I’m going to use them again damnit).
Anyway, my friend dropped a couple of dumbells one day to quickly come spot me while I decline benched. Long story short the guy likes to come up with nicknames for people when he talks to them (big guy, pal, etc.) and now my friend is known as “hey superman.”
I told him he should have tied his towel around his neck after that, but of course that great idea didn’t hit me until the next day. Oh well.
You lift at Fike?
If you are who Im thinking you are, then I cant help but laugh.

THATS THE FUNNIEST QUOTE EVER!
When ever i haven’t got anything to say, in any situation from now on, i’m going to say that.
The best thing you can do with a weight, other than to lift it, is to DROP that mofo. Who the fuck has time to bend over all the time. Not me. And especially when my lower back and hams are all pumped from deads, squats and pullthroughs, no chance.

You don’t read articles on this site do you? But that said, i totally agree she can vault my pole any day.
After reading a lot of the posts on here, I’m not sure a Lunk alarm is as bad as I originally thought. Here are my views on dropping weights:
-
If a gym has a lifting platform, it’s ok to drop.
-
If a gym has bumper plates, it’s ok to drop them.
-
If you are at a hard-core gym, it’s probably ok to drop, but you better be using some serious poundage, or you will look like a douche and likely be ridiculed.
-
If you are at a commercial fitness center, and staff has asked/told you not to drop the weights, or if it has written rules that forbid the dropping of equipment, it is NOT ok to drop the weights.
-
It is NOT ok to drop DBs. If you have to drop a db because it’s too heavy to set down, you need a spotter.
Why is this so hard?
DB

I’ll show you respect when you do the same to me. You brought the eat a dick comment on yourself.
You guys really have gotten some big heads on your shoulders thinking that you can disrespect people, but that they should never do the same to you.
And yes fightingtiger I do lift in Fike. And no, I’m probably not the person you think I am. Please feel free to come talk to me in the weight room one day though ya self righteous prick. I’d like to know if you know who I am. I just found a picture of you and I do not think I’ve ever see you in there.
That woman (girl) is named Allison Stokke and she is 18 years old in that picture you perv. j/k.

I just took a look at your profile and you are who I thought you were. Youre the kid who pitched a little bitch fit when the supervisor told you to use clamps for your skullcrushers while you were standing under a sign that said “CLAMPS MUST BE USED ON ALL EXERCISES” and also the kid I saw doing partial weighted dips with a 25 lb plate and 55 lb db strapped to the belt-was the 80 lb db just too heavy for you? Ill be in there tomorrow at 11:15 if youre tired of making angry faces and pretending to be hardcore.
