To failure or not to failure on the SLLS plan?

Hey, guys,

I’ve been through the Still Living Longer Stronger book a couple of times, and there doesn’t seem to be a clear indication there whether the 10-10-10 excercises should be taken to the point of momentary muscular failure (that is, is failure supposed to be reached on the 10th repetition in the middle section of the muscle event). What is your interpretation?

Also, more generally, does taking the set to failure depends on whether one is on a calorie-restriction diet or bulking up for mass? (Judging from the Extreme HIT book, NTF training is coupled with muscle building, not fat loss.)

Any insights would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Petko

You can do either: to failure or not quite to failure. Try them both and decide for yourself.

Thanks, doctor!
