This is one of the few things that gets under my skin.
It reminds me of that recent Dave Tate article posted here (he’s written about this before as well). The part where he talks about how, essentially, the awesomer you get, the more you’re going to have haters trying to bring you down. Every idiot has something to say to you when you stand out.
It sucks to see the idiots win on here. They’re clearly not winning in real life, because Rock will continue on his path of awesome. I just won’t be able to follow the journey, and that sucks. It’s the same bullshit that ran MarauderMeat off, but at least he’s easily accessible elsewhere.

I found Spanish kind of hard at first, I still do when it gets to specifics like finance, car repair, house mortgages etc. Even vegetables, seriously, imagine trying to remember off the top of your head after at least five years ago of learning it what an Aubergine is called in your new tongue, took me half an hour to summon it from the dark circle of my brain.
The chef at where I work is German, and sometimes he talks to himself in German, also he’s really into WWII movies that the Germans made to show that they totally weren’t in favour of WWII and are really, really sorry. I’m picking it up slowly whilst he learns Spanish, but still. We have a Portuguese waitress in there and even that shit sounds alien to me, didn’t realise some of the words were so wildly different, even if most are more or less the same give or take pronunciation.
I should re-learn French, but I had a girl try to teach me it once and she burnt me, so my principles tell me to hold off on that related memory until I can associate it more with Brigitte Bardot than her.
