Comments: Good session. I decided to start with a metcon since it is usually less crowded up there early on. Good idea but that was a beast of a metcon to start with. Bench and OHP were tough after that. Good session though.
Thanks man. I think there is sort of a curve on hitting BW bench reps as your BW increases. Thank on the costume. It was a good time. Teenage girls were all ooohhhing and ahhing and saying hi to me. That’s how pathetic pop culture is.

Comments: Our son got hit with a stomach bug, which started at 3:00AM. Coincidentally, I’m hungover from last night so I’m constantly wondering if I’m getting hit with the stomach bug or just hungover. I guess time will tell… Still managed to get some work in this morning anyway. I figured I’d go ahead and do my last day of lifting this week in case I’m down for the count. Pretty good session. I tried to do stuff that I don’t normally do since the gym wasn’t that crowded. Good to change it up.
That’s funny about the costume. You are definitely still a hip dad, especially if all the young girls are still ooohing and aaaahing over you I think you are doing ok.
Yep, hangover and deads are never a good experience. It was actually the bike ride at the end that almost had me calling the dinosaurs. A couple of the other dads were telling me “I still got it” last night and I just laughed and shook my head…

Comments: So the second and last stationary bike is now broken at the gym. This time I had the honors of breaking it. Gotta figure something out fast on the bike front. What a PITA…
Thanks Shane. I told my wife we better start looking for a stationary bike for the house because all the ones at the gym are broken and they take forever to fix them. She called the gym and the guy said it would be fixed by the end of the week.

Comments: Crappy sleep lately. Lots of work stress. Pretty much woke up at 3:00AM this morning and tossed and turned until 6:00AM. My heart was doing weird stuff too. I hate it when life gets like this… Either way, still got after it. Did squats and deads in the garage while I watched my son this morning. Then went to the gym and did some accessory and intervals. Both bikes are still broken. Big surprise…
Sorry to hear about work stress. Lack of sleep over it is always tough. Hopefully you are able to get some good sleep tonight.
Workout wise, you fit a ton in today. Really good looking workout. Sounds like you need to send the wife for an in person visit to get those bikes fixed. I don’t know why gyms drag their feet fixing their shit. Tell them you will pay next month as soon as they fix the bikes.
Thanks Shane. This is the worst work stress that I’ve had in years. I’m happy for the influx of work, but am vastly understaffed to take it all on. The stress is more a reaction of realizing that I simply can’t get to it all. Once I make peace with that I should be OK. Thanks on the session. That was a good one.

Comments: Good session. Got some good rest last night and felt a lot better today. Just a bunch of solid work. Have to go down to two lifting days this week so it’s all upper today. Wanted more but that’s all the time I had.
You got in some really nice supersets there and a couple of nice metcons. Finishing off with max rep pull ups and push ups should have left you feeling like you had to walk sideways through the door.
Thanks Shane. For some reason, now when I do push and pull on the same day I feel like I should still do close to a double session, but there isn’t time for that.

Bike is still broken so I came up with this. Definitely got some looks from other patrons as sweat was just flying all over the place on the Ski ERG. Oh well. Fix your f*&%ing bikes. Done.
