Nice Peloton ride!

Altitude. I ran around my grandmothers backyard chasing my son and nephew and was extremely winded. It makes a big difference.

Love the long distance views. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Makes me want to try it again tomorrow so I can be sure it was the altitude and not just me having an off day. :joy:

Comments: Remembering all those who perished on 9/11. Also, praying for the family and friends of Charlie Kirk. I was unfamiliar with him until yesterday. While it happens that we shared a lot of the same beliefs on faith and politics, it would not matter if we were polar opposites. Any citizen of this country should be afforded their constitutional right to speak their mind and debate others without fear of violence or persecution. As a matter of fact, we need much more of that respectful dialogue in our society. What happened to that man is tragic and disgraceful.

Session: This was definitely a clock puncher. I got home last night around 1:00AM and after unpacking, showering, etc. I didn’t get to sleep until about 2:30AM. I slept in until about 9:00AM this morning and then got up and did a rare late morning session. During the trip we were booked solid from 8:00AM to midnight each day with almost zero downtime. To say I am run down is an understatement. Still managed a decent session today. I feel like I might be fighting a cold so hopefully I can fight that off.

Nice workout Trent.

Yeah man, I didn’t really know who he was either. Agree 100 percent man. Tragic, and disgraceful is a great way to sum it up.

Comments: Good session. Started in the garage with a Josh Bridges metcon that I have been saving for two years. Scaled the weight down a lot for snatches, of course. Then managed a pull-up PR and went to the gym and finished up. Managed a decent week of training despite the travel. Done.

Boom, another pull up PR! :sunglasses:

Great job Trent. Rest of the workout looked great also. Back and biceps got some great work in today.

Welcome back.

Comments: Went with a big group of folks from the neighborhood to the Charlotte FC game on Saturday night. They were playing against Miami and Lionel Messi was playing for Miami. Charlotte ended up shutting them out 3-0. I have to say, that was one of the most fun games I have ever attended in any sport. The energy in that stadium was electric. Super fun. Afterwards my wife lined up a promotional thing for all the kids to go on the field and attempt a penalty kick. Awesome experience.

Session: Finally feel like I’ve recovered from all the travel last week. Started with a Peloton ride. For the last 10 minutes I was just cruising at 22-23+ MPH. It’s nice being back at sea level. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Good leg session after that. Doing some higher reps this week. I even threw in a few sets of very light squats for the first time in forever. I mainly wanted to see if I can do them as an accessory lift. Will have to see how my back feels after doing them. Solid sets on everything. Done.

Sounds like a great weekend Trent. Those soccer games are fun. I know the one we did in Atlanta the cheering section near the goal was a little R rated in their chants. LoL. That is really cool that you were able to get the kids out there to kick some penalty kicks.

Nice leg day. Smoking ride as usual as well. :sunglasses:

Thanks Shane. Definitely a fun time. We were on the other side from the cheering section but there were still some mouthy folks on our side too. LOL Thanks on the leg day. Went surfing at lunchtime today too. Felt good to be in the water. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Comments: That was one hell of a session. Started with a metcon in the garage and then went to the gym and did a nice Push session. Staying with higher reps this week. On my strength lifts I was shooting for roughly reps of 12, 10, 10, 10 with the last 2-3 sets going to within a rep of failure. I hit some really good accessory lifts too. Many of which were for max reps. Done.

Comments: Decent ride. Didn’t sleep very well last night so I was dragging for this one. Started off slow and then finished strong. Better than last week’s ride at 6,500’ elevation. I’ll take it.

Hip Pain: For over a month now I have had pain in my left hip. I can’t tell if it is the joint itself or the muscles/tendons around it. It doesn’t hurt when I’m walking but seems to hurt more doing things like Hip Abduction and when I forcefully lift my legs up. Sometimes it seems like it is getting better, and then I reaggravate it. Usually in these situations I try to be patient and see if it goes away. So far it hasn’t. I might try to foam roll it and do some stretching and see if that helps before going to the ortho.

Killer pace as usual man. Sorry to hear about the hip pain. We are falling apart man. LoL.

Tight hip flexors? Us office folk are prime candidates for this… with office sitting etc.

Very well could be. Right before this started I did some GHD sit-ups for the first time in many years so that might have done it too.

Comments: Good session. Started with a metcon, pull-ups and accessory in the garage. I was going to do weighted pull-ups in the ~10 rep range but then decided to do max reps of dead-hang pull-ups. I honestly haven’t done those in years as they hurt my shoulder(s). That was the case today as well. I got 12 reps on my first set and afterwards looked up and saw that I had tied my PR from 2016. So naturally I had to try and break it. I managed 15 reps and had a few more in the tank but my shoulder was hurting so I stopped there. Still a decent set though. Went to the gym afterwards and did mostly cables. Good session.

Another pull up PR. Nice Trent. 15 pull ups is damn impressive.

Gym session after the home workout was a good one too. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
