TM79's Training Journal

Bad sleep and crummy stomach both sound tough. Way to get in there and get a ride in despite all that.

Comments: I was pretty lethargic and unmotivated for this one. It is cold as $#!t outside and I finally caved in and just did cardio at the gym this morning. Riding the Precor bike felt like riding a tricycle compared to the Peloton. Made the most of it though. Followed that with a decent whole body session. When I was doing reverse lunges I kept thinking, “man, after my back heals I don’t care if I ever do another reverse lunge again for the rest my life…” LOL The back pain has been either zero or pretty minimal for a week or two now. I keep thinking about trying to do leg press, etc. but I’m going to keep holding off. Clock punched.

I hear you on being cold. We are actually supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow on Friday, aka pandemonium that will completely cripple Atlanta and the suburbs around it.

Nice work put in. Lunges are Sam effective but I can understand the sustain for them as well.

You are going to have to take a pic of that red handle thingy. :joy:

Thanks Shane. My wife has been saying we are getting snow all week and I keep raining on her parade (pun intended). :joy: It’s not supposed to get below freezing Friday or Saturday so no way are we getting snow (or if we do it won’t stick). That’s crazy you guys might get several inches! Better hit the store now and plan on being indoors this weekend.

Red handle thingy: Just googled it and evidently it is called an ergonomic tricep extension.

It was already attached to the cable when I walked up so I decided to try it. It did feel a little like putting your hands into someone else’s sweaty gloves but man it was very comfortable and really hit the triceps. :joy:

Yeah, unfortunately I don’t think it is going to skip us. I am just hoping that no trees fall and take out my power again. That really puts a drag on everything when that happens.

That does look like a very trick tricep rope with some nifty handles on it. :sunglasses:

Nice looking workout today Trent. Like I was saying on Shanes journal, cold weather really saps my motivation these days. That’s great you’re able to get up and going despite that.

I like the looks of that tricep attachment. I might have to check into one of those.

Thanks Greg. Honestly, my main motivation for working out nowadays is to keep from getting fatter. That’s what gets me up and out the door. Ha ha ha…

Comments: Finally went out and got after it in the cold garage this morning. I subbed a bunch of stuff in this one. Decent metcon with mostly upper body stuff. Still trying to keep my back immobilized. Pretty physical day at work incoming so that should make up for the short session this morning.

Nice metcon Trent! Don’t work to hard today.

Comments: Literally just burning calories on this one. I would have done a long Peloton ride or metcon but didn’t feel like being in the garage that long so I went to the gym and did a bunch of accessory work instead. Done.

Shane I hope you’re faring well in the snow. We are waiting patiently on our rain. LOL

Great looking work today Trent. I haven’t got out to play in the snow yet but we got 2-3 inches. It has stopped snowing and now has begun sleeting.

Going to go try to build a snowman. LoL

Thanks Shane. Looks like you stayed at home which was definitely a good idea. LOL It’s about to get nasty down there. I was going to go to Myrtle Beach this morning and happened to check the radar as I was walking out the door and it was snowing there. :exploding_head: They weren’t calling for it or anything and it has been snowing/icing for about two hours down there. Long story short I just stayed here. :man_shrugging: Seems like there is a lot of uncertainty with this storm.

Snowing at Myrtle Beach, wow. That has to be a rare occurrence! Good idea to avoid that.

At least you got to stay on your side of town for the storm. Hopefully it stays rain for you.

Peloton was a smoking pace as usual Trent. That gym session looked to be a great one too. Nice numbers on that decline benching!
