Kick ass ride Trent! Definitely an awesome pace there. Sounds like a tough weekend full of work. Way to get it done today man.

Thanks Shane. I ended up having a stomach bug of some sort. By yesterday afternoon I had a low grade fever and my felt pretty rough. We ended up cancelling the party at our house last night because of it. Feeling a little better today luckily.

That sucks man. Good to hear you are feeling better though.

Thanks Shane. I thought this was on the way out but when I woke up this morning at 3:00AM to start getting ready to go to the airport, I barely made it to the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee before having to run to the bathroom. I’ve probably been to the bathroom about a dozen times since then. Ended up cancelling my trip (for obvious reasons). I’m in no shape to be on a plane… It seems like anything that I eat or drink (including water) goes all the way through me in about 15-30 minutes. I’m hoping this improves today and I can at least go to work tomorrow. I drank almost a bottle of Pepto this morning and it did absolutely nothing to help…

That sounds awful man. There are definitely better ways to lose weight.
Hope you feel better soon!

I don’t know, as much as the last few days have sucked, I’ve dropped about 4 pounds and have reached my goal weight. It might have taken me 1-2 months to do that through diet and exercise. :joy:

I might need to give this a try! :joy:

Comments: Finally feeling a little better today. Went to the gym this morning and did a full body session. Kept it pretty manageable as I’m still not 100%. Good session overall. I like how easy it is to add variety when doing full-body sessions. You aren’t doing as many exercises per muscle group so you have a lot more choices. I kept finding myself doing the same things when isolating muscle groups. Enjoying this change for a while…

Comments: Woke up with the runs this morning so decided to workout in the garage. Never felt sick to my stomach during this one so that is a huge win. This was a very “Murph prep-ish” workout. The metcon at the beginning was, effectively, half of Murph with a weight vest. Pull-ups are definitely shining after losing a few pounds. I was getting all sets of 7+ on pull-ups (even with the weight vest) until the very last set where I got 5. Damn good session.

Hell of a workout Trent! Very impressive to knock out half a Murph and then move right into another very challenging workout. If I did that amount of pull ups in one session idk if I would ever recover. :joy:.

Crushed it!

Thanks Shane. You could do it man. I read some of the other stuff you do and you could totally handle it. :sunglasses:

Ended up feeling really bad yesterday by lunchtime and a friend told me that I should probably take a few days off to hopefully let this stomach bug work its way out. I never really thought that working out would set you back on a stomach virus but maybe it can? Either way, I think I’m going to take off until next week. Might as well give it a shot.

Went to the doctor this afternoon and they confirmed that it sounded like a stomach virus. He said some last longer than others and certain ones are treatable. They sent me home with a stool sample kit so I get to attempt that for the first time today. :poop: Should be “a blast.” :joy:

Thanks for the well wishes Shane and CL. I seem to have mostly turned the corner but will continue to rest through the weekend. Still managed 4 hours of yardwork after work today and will likely put in as many tomorrow but as far as “exercise” goes, I am sitting on the couch. :sunglasses:

Good to hear you are feeling better. You can count 4 hours of yard work as cardio. :sunglasses:

Comments: First time back in the saddle since last Wednesday. Got plenty of yard work in this weekend. My stomach is feeling almost entirely better. Decided to keep this sort of short though as I’d had to set myself back going into big day. Wasn’t expecting a PR. Hoping I have finally made it past the stomach crud. Have a good day!
