I agree with this. People are truly responsible for their own actions. Where I’m coming from- I’m an ER nurse and my guy’s a cop, our friends are in EMS, police, fire…maybe we just see the worst of society, but at one point anecdotally the people working in the community were saying that it seemed at least 65% of the island was on the drug. My brother developed a severe meth addiction about two years ago. It ruined my whole family. It wasn’t so bad when he was high as when he came down and got desperate for more- he’d harrass my poor mother for hours, demanding money until she relented (and, being a pathological enabler, she always did). Then he’d tweak out and go into meth psychosis and become totally wild and incoherent. It was fucking madness.
One day when he was in withdraw and particularly desperate he threatened to kill my mother if she didn’t give him money. That was it. I beat the shit out of him and called the cops afterward. After they placed him in custody, they said they found five bags of meth on him, which I know is a lie- they planted it on him. He ended up getting a year in county and served three months. My parents hated me for it. But it was the event that forced him to dry out and eventually go clean, so I have no regrets about it…

meh. Ive never understood americans and their use of methamphetamine. ITs a very popular drug in aus. But its very rare for people to go past 3 days without sleep. 2 being a bit much for most people. Your still tired, you loose the euphoria and what the fuck would you want to stay up and do for that long? I run out of things after 24 hours and resorted to porn binges.
I just think you guys get your drugs for too cheap.
