finally a good question lol I slowly started to get depressed looking at some of the responses here. very simple. FE, which is includes heliocentrism, galaxies and all this nonsense, would obviously point to the fact that God exists. without going into which religion is the correct one now, if humans are truly the center of it all, there must be a creator. this idea can not be allowed to flourish. it would undermine the entire evolution/you come from stardust/big bang religion completely and people would start asking questions and the entire current status quo would collapse fairly quick. I’m not entirely sure where the globe theory started, but it happened way before there was ‘space exploration’. it probably had its beginnings with Copernicus. there is plenty info on this to research, you can not use mainstream search engines however. places like russian yandex.com are still fairly uncensored.
every single globe argument can be very easily disproved, but again this info can be found out there so its a waste of energy to repeat already available info for me

conspiracy theories are irrelevant. the term itself was invented by the CIA. everything which goes against the status quo is labeled that way so the majority of the sheeple discard it as a conspiracy theory. yes, they do drive conspiracy theories, in that sense that they take truths and mix them up with lies. that way they do control the narrative. the example of the flat earth society is a prime example for this. so your typical trumper or qanon follower is confused as well. that way the scoop up the cnn watching woketard, but also the fox news/trump follower qanon fanatic. mission accomplished. only a small amount of americans are capable of thinking for themselves. the public school system did its job here.

you assume that the earth is round and draw those conclusions. but the same logic can also be apply to a flat earth. you are located at XY location, take a measurement of the shadow, and what does it give you. it shows that there light source is at a certain height/distance to the body. nothing more.

The problem with flat earthers is they start with the solution the earth is flat and seek the “evidence to prove that (in every case). Instead of observing and drawing a conclusion.
Or looking at any picture taken from the ISS, the moon or any of the thousands of satellites orbiting the planet. It’s pretty damn obvious.

yes it shows the angle. the sun doesn’t change its height in relation the plane. so if the angle changes all it shows that the distance is different. this doesn’t prove anything whatsoever
