Tired Of Oatmeal for Breakfast

Usually I wake up to an 8 eggwhite and salsa omlette, and 1c dry measure oatmeal with cinnamin, and splenda for breakfast.

I am soooooooooooo…tired of oatmeal.YELCH!! Any good suggestions out there for a breakfast carb solution?

I 've been subbing two pieces of whole wheat toast. Hoping that would be good.

What are some other options you all use during a cut phase?

Why an egg white omelette? Unless you’re on a serious-get ripped cutting diet.

When I’m cutting, breakfast will always be whatever healthy foods I want, then all my other meals I work around my diet so I come out 300-500 less each day.

So try something like an egg omelette with 4 egg whites, melted low fat cheese over the top, and 2-3 whole eggs with oatmeal and fruit.

Wow, 8 eggs and oatmeal in an omelette. I cannot eat that much for breakfast and be hungry 2-3 hours later.

I eat a max of 3 whole eggs with tomatoes thrown in, green peppers in the mix, and a slice of fat free high protein cheese.

8 eggs of what size? 1 large egg is showing to be close to 100 calories on my scale, which would be over 800 calories for your breakfast.

How long after breakfast do you eat? How much do you weigh? How many times a day are you eating?

Eggs, tomatoes, and some cheese should be a fine breakfast for a novice to advanced BB’er.

Sorry, didnt see you were using egg whites. Please use whole eggs. It is considered bullshit by many people that the whole egg is bad for you. And from my experience, it is bullshit.

Try this; 3 whole eggs, some canned tomatoes thrown in, onion & green pepper thrown in, and a slice of fat free cheese over the top.

Will work wonders for you.

I usually go with six eggs (only two yolks), 1cup dry oatmeal with milk, a scoop of whey powder and a handful blueberries, 1 grapefruit.

I’m not really a huge fan of oatmeal either, but I see it as the best carb option in the morning, so I add a scoop of Banana cream Metabolicdrive and the blueberries. Presto! it tastes like candy.

To fake myself out that I’m eating something different every morning, I put something different in my oatmeal. One day its peaches/cinnamon, then blueberries, then bananas/walnuts, then some peanut butter. Try whatever you like. Most days I throw some flax seed in there too. I have the same problem, but it helps me from getting too bored.

By the way, yes I also eat the eggs and what not like everyone else, but this question was in regards to the oatmeal.

Im trying this out tomorrow… it was the tip of the day a few days back…

The Super Protein Shake

I put an apple and a handful of raw broccoli in my protein shakes every morning. Yep, you read that right. The sweetness of the apple offsets the “unsweetness” of the broccoli. With the following combination, you won’t even know the broccoli’s in there, but your health and body fat levels will thank you. Mix in 16-20 ounces of water in a blender:

2 Scoops of Metabolic Drive

1/4 cup of low-fat cottage cheese

1/2 cup of oatmeal

1 banana

1 apple

1 cup of raw broccoli tops

Blend until it’s as smooth and drink up!

I to got tired of eating oatmeal, so I started blending it, with some Metabolic Drive milk and frozen blueberries

ahah 8 egg white omelet? Whimp, I eat 6 whole egg omelet + 2 egg whites + 1 cup of oatmeal + 20 oz green tea + 1 cup milk. I am hungry an hour and half later. Jeeze, good thing I’m bulking.

^ end of thread.

luckytats, when cutting replace oatmeal with a piece of fruit or Fiber One cereal (the one that has 13g of fiber per 70-calorie serving). Another options would be to take yogurt and frozen fruit and throw it in the blender with some water. Add Splenda to taste. I’ll use mango, passion fruit, raspberries, black cherries or blueberries. To that you could add some Metabolic Drive if you wanted, to get your protein intake where you wanted it.

When bulking, you need to take in carbs that are starchier in nature. When cutting, carbs should come more from fibrous green veggies, beans and fruit.

Breakfast does not have to be oatmeal and an omelet. I’ll often switch the order of my meals, eating an omelet later in the day and having maybe shrimp cocktail for breakfast! (grin)

multigrain toast is my alternative to oatmeal, but any good carbs that you might eat at other meals can be used. I like a baked sweet potato once in a while. That plus some eggs or a protein shake and im set.

what about cream of wheat?? ive been swapping oatmeal and C.o.W for a bit now mixes it up a bit ya’know

i do the
6 egg white omlett
1/2c oatmeal
cup of OJ
cup of cottage cheese (low fat)
1 slice whole wheat with natty PB

gives me my protien fats and carbs

I’m 5’9 194. I did an intense cut diet 2 months ago lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks. I took a break to reset my system.

And now I’m hitting it one more time with some slight changes. instead of BCAA’s before bed, I’m actually using a 2 scoops of MD low carb.

I eat 6-7 times a day, every 2-3 hours and water like mad.

2 pieces of toast, 26 gram protein shake, 4 egg whites with salsa,a small amount of Mozz, and two pieces of toast ,vitamin C&E, fatburner

snack, 2 scoops of MD Complete

lunch can of tuna, 2 hardboiled whites, salad.(oops forgot the salad on the table today)

preworkout 1 scoop MD Complete, 4 Flameout caps, arginine, creatine, glutamine, and a multivitamin

post 2 scoops Surge, BCAAs

an hour later dinner
8 oz top round steak
nuked sweet potatoe
1c green beans 3-4 alomonds

during a movie, air popped popcorn.

before bed banana MD yumm!! and my ZMA

on HIIT days or a low intensity cardio day, I won’t use Surge at all. Just follow up with dinner close to 40 mins later.

Honestly I’ve mixed everything with oatmeal from apples to MD, to natural honey, to PB…as far as the egg whites vs. whole egg theory? who knows for sure but when I cut it’s the easiest way to reduce my calories and leave myself a great dinner. It’s what works for me. Not right or wrong, just what I’ve found works,(hours on the calculator, knowing how my body feels after slight changes) When I bulk you betcha! I’ll love whole eggs!!

I’m going to give the fruit (apple)a try, or fibrous veggies on my omlette…also tomatoes sounds good, can always use more lycopene!!

Awesome input!

hmmm…you know how fried eggs and potatoes used to be a staple as a kid?

baked sweet potato chips, and eggs…just doing some thinkin!!

It actually tasted really good (I was surprised), and kept me full for a couple of hours… this will definitely be a new staple for me.
Give it a shot.

Nothing like blueberries in a blender to give me the serious shits a half hour later.
