Heavy deads, low-rep hang cleans, face pulls, and high rep shrugs (15 to 25 rep range) seems to have worked for me. [/quote]

Back thickness: Yates rows, chest supported rows, trap bar rows, facepulls with weight plus bands, heavy deads, rack pulls, t-bar rows.

Row 4x per week, two days heavy two days light(ish)

I normally do shrugs, then I go on the incline bench and lean on it facing backwards (face towards the bench) and do lean over shrugs. It takes a while to get used to but it doesn’t put any pressure on your lower back like traditional leaning over and shrugging.
