There are plenty who do but to do so is simply silly.
I don’t think anyone’s really denying it. People say Biden did better and was more substantive and pick apart the flaws in her performance. But she definitely didn’t implode. She was solid. Defied expectations. Even the ‘mainstream liberal media’ is acknowledging that.
Defied expectations. Well she definitely did that but they were pretty damn low anyway.

True. But she did well enough that this debate will be a wash like most VP debates. It won’t influence how very many people vote.
Sarah Palin’s high school biology teacher wanted the world to know about one of Palin’s better biology oral exams.
Teacher: Describe the function of the kidneys.
Palin: The kidneys are organs. And by golly, you betcha they are important. The stomach is also an organ and it digests food.
Teacher: But to return to the subject of the kidneys…
Palin: There you go again. Now I don’t have to answer the question just the way you liberal-elite members of academia ask me to. But Joe Six-pack types are interested in their stomachs.
Teacher: Well, at least this time you said something without sputtering or looking like a deer hit by headlights. I will give you a “C” for that.
Fox News: Sarah Palin was brilliant, even though the teacher betrayed his left-wing prejudices by asking about kidneys, a subject about which he is writing a book.

How was she solid?

She did ok on education. No serious mistakes demonstrating fundamental lack of comprehension on any issue. Good job avoiding questions she couldn’t really answer by talking about things a lot of Americans probably want to hear about. Did a good job of praising McCain. Did a decent as possible job of dissasociating from Bush. If you had never heard her speak before and the last several weeks had never happened, you would’ve watched and though Biden was more substantive and did a better job of answering the questions but that she did ok.

Very well put js.
She did what she needed to do. McCain still has a bigger problem…momentum, and he needs to get it back.
Oh dear. It’s not getting better for Palin. JM must be doing a lot of forehead slapping right now. I had heard of this but I didn’t realise there was an official inquiry into it.
From AP:
ANCHORAGE - Seven Alaska state employees have reversed course and agreed to testify in an abuse-of-power investigation of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
There is no indication, however, that Palin or her husband will do the same.
Palin, a first-term Alaska governor, is the focus of a legislative inquiry into whether she abused her office by firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Monegan says he was dismissed because he would not fire the governor’s former brother-in-law.
Lawmakers subpoenaed seven state employees to testify in the inquiry but they challenged those subpoenas. A judge rejected that challenge last week. Because of that ruling, Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg says the employees have decided to testify.
Was that a condescending comment directed at me? If so you’ll have to explain it. I don’t know who “em” are or how or why I should “git” them. Thanks in advance sonny.
