Tibialis Anterior as an Injection Site?

I’ve started using it. For me it’s pain-free during and after injection. Is there anything I’m missing out on by injecting there? Most things I read say it doesn’t matter where you inject, because the oil will spread the same anyway, but one or two sources say small muscle injections have more of a peak and valley effect.

Never heard that, but it’s just a matter of blood flow. Some muscles get more than others, I’d imagine, maybe based on size or use.

Interesting! I’ve tried some days ago for the first time my calf and it went smoothly!

Just did some quick research…. Too much bad stuff down there for me…

Interesting, but that is a different muscle. They’re talking about the muscle inside the shin (posterior), not the outside (anterior). They are injecting from the front, thereby coincidentally using the word “anterior”, but that’s just for the approach. Thanks for the link though, very cool.

Can you show a pic where exactly do you inject? Did you notice some local growth?

Ok, I didn’t realize how much scarring I had gotten until I took this pic. So cosmetically this site is terrible. Luckily I couldn’t care less about that.

I have had none of the pain that I started getting injecting into the left thigh. And I get none of the soreness afterwards. But just like my thigh, I occasionally withdraw and re-insert because I feel a twinge.

I’m going to stick with the site unless it starts hurting. Deltoid injection made me sore for my workout, right thigh somehow aggravated an old sciatica. I’m using 23g 1in, and most people would say “get smaller needles”, but I really want to finish what I have. Plus I like knowing I’m going deep.

Thanks for the picture but I meant more some anatomy picture where you show where exactly do you inject!

How can you not tell by looking at that? There are several marks showing where I inject.

Yeah of course you can tell from the photo but I preferred some anatomic photo to understand the muscle and other underlaying muscles. however…
