Hi.
I thought I would ask this forum for their views. I have searched the Internet extensively already and don’t have a good answer yet.
I am male 43 now. Was discovered as mild/sub clinical hypo when I was 41. Doctor gave me the thyroid meds for a bit but did not show much results. Instead over that period I gained 10 kgs.
Now the problem is over last 2 years I haven’t had any thyroid meds. And been focusing on good diet and exercising. I have always been very active with weights training and CrossFit.
However now my conundrum is that my weight has not moved at all in last 2 years. Inspite if good efforts. Exercise 5 days a week. Mix of CrossFit and weigh training. I only have about 2 inches lost on my waistline but no weight loss.
I really want to go back to the previous weight (10 kg lesser). What do I do? Doctor refuses to give me any medicines and I have tried whatever natural things I could read.
Height 165 cm
Weight 78 kg
Activity - 5 days a week which is 2 weight training sessions and 3 CrossFit cardio.
Apple Watch shows over 1000 calories burnt on those days.
10 k or more steps daily.
Eat - 100 grams of protein: 30-50 carbs; 10-20 fat. Overall 1200-1500 calories
Ok, so your activity level is enough, that’s for sure. Poor thyroid function is certainly going to make things more difficult but still fully achievable. Walk us through your typical daily meals. Hour by hour. For example here my typical day…
7am - two bacon slices, three eggs scrambled
10am - one cup cottage cheese
Noon - 6 ounces chicken, salad/greens, quarter cup cheddar cheese, two tablespoons ranch dressing
2pm - Onkos Greek protein yogurt
5pm - 6 ounce filet tips, sautéed asparagus, cup cottage cheese
8pm - 2 tbs peanut butter
