Thrown Out for Grunting

Well, I’d agree, that would be a silly argument, but that’s not my argument.

Same as above. A critique isn’t the same thing as whining.
I bet you’ve formed opinions about alot of things that no one is forcing upon you.

Guess that makes you a whinner too.
You should argue in the politics forums yourself, you are good at making up a standpoint and then knocking it down.

People gave their opinion that a no grunting rule in a gym environment is ridiculous.

You decided to call these people whiners.

Why? Because unless they’re being forced to work out there they shouldn’t be allowed to give their opinion on the matter?

Well, what is your argument for calling people who think a no grunting rule in a gym environment is absurd whiners?

Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign”
Best reply yet.

I don’t know how to make this any simpler for you…

I am calling people whiners because of the whiny tone of their posts, not because of the opinion held.

Hello? Anybody home?

There is nothing worse than a whiny grunter.

Well, perhaps a whiny grunter who farts is worse.

You made a blanket statement and called everyone before your post whiners. If you had someone specific in mind call them a whiner, not everyone.

You’ve got to be kidding me! This is why I keep saying Americans are getting more and more wussified! No grunting in the gym? And how do you define grunting? Lift any significant amount of weight and you are going to make some noise. I am pretty quiet for the most part, but even I make some noise when the weight gets near to max loads. Even with that, I make far less noise than the “Bench and Bicep” boys that are in my gym. You know the types, 150 lbs soaking wet, do nothing but various bench pressing followed by different curls and that’s it.

This whole story is pathetic and is an illustration of the sad state of our society as a whole.

You also get a free shot of estrogen and a soy latte with every sign up.

The thing I think most people don’t realize is bodybuilders are probably some of the least judgemental people you’ll meet at a gym. Sure, they’ll judge you if you act like an idiot and don’t have a serious attitude, but as for your physique or ‘where you’re at now’ status, they know they were once beginners, too.

Having a policy like that gym will only turn it into a starbucks with weights… not that I mind starbucks.
