Three Days A Week Program

Good luck tomorrow, Big E. I’m certain that you’re going to make a good showing. Big respect to you for just getting out there and competing.

Thank you guys. I’m going to give it my all.

Let me add one more “Go Get 'em E”. Have fun Buddy…that’s what it’s all about.

Well here it is the good, bad and the ugly.

squat 500
bench 395(kinda)
dead 500

My squats were plenty deep and 500 went up real easy. I fouled benching 395. I racked it before the rack command. I tried 405 and missed it. So on paper I only benched 350. 395 went up easy and I’m not sure why I missed 405. My second attempt in the deadlift I didn’t take the time to set up properly. I just stepped up, bent down and quickly grabbed and lifted. I didn’t have my right hand wrapped properly around the bar and ended up dropping it 1/2 way up. I attempted 500 again because I didn’t want to do the same as I did in the bench. With low soled shoes on 500 blew right up. So a couple things to remember:

  1. wait for the rack comand with bench.
  2. take the time to set up in the dead.
I don’t know if its just next day excitment but I can’t wait for my next meet.

There was this freak of nature competing yesterday. He was 165lbs and squated 630lbs. He was all geared up but still that was almost 4 times his weight. Another guy benched 610lbs and weighed 220. I took best 275lb raw lifter. I think there was only 2 of us though and most people had shirts and suits.

Sounds like a great first meet Eco! I felt the same way…I was looking forward to the next meet as soon as the first one was finished. You did very well, you should be pleased. It’s intresting more of the lifters were equiped, in the meets I’ve atteded most were raw lifters.

Way to go Eco. Damn good lifting! That’s not next day excitment your feeling. It’s a “damn good job” feeling!

That was your first meet? Excellent! I get that feeling right after a competition too.

Alright eco! Great meet!

Well, Eco, that is the last night I will lose any sleep worrying about your squat! Congratulations across the board and on the total. You done real good.

Way to go. Very good numbers. Bask in the afterglow.

Nice work, eco.

Good job, eco. You’ll do even better the next time I’m positive

Thank you guys.
Time to scrap this thread and start a new one.

Great job E, damn impressive numbers.

I know what you mean about the rack command. I saw a number of guys easily press the weight and then forget to wait for the rack command. This type of thing gets in your head and makes the next lift a lot harder.

Can’t wait to see what your new goals are going to be.

Congrats on the meet, and thanks for the informative thread.
