Just let it go completely. It will only get worse. He know’s where to find you, which is the first bad thing. 1 person can turn into 10 the next time. Unless your life is in danger e.g knife extremely close to you, not standing 5 feet from you at you tire. You kicking his ass might stop him from coming around but I know for one thing if anyone one older than me injured eg. if i were like 14-16 somewhat of a teenager and the person who pounded me was a lot older. My brother would have found the person that pounded me and did what he did to me 10 fold. Best thing to do is let it go. Police won’t do anything.
It’s a lame story, so I don’t see any reason to doubt it. How about taking all your change and throwing it as hard as you can at their head/face. I did that to a bum who was sitting on the ground and almost tripped me after asking me three times for change as I walked by. I felt bad about it afterword though. I mean, I could have given that change to the guy playing Nickelback and Staind songs on an acoustic guitar. If he had a knife and was demanding money from you isn’t that armed robbery? OJ would have taken the knife away and cut his head off. I’m only sayin’.

Ha! Tell that to the crackhead who has a gun at your crotch. I bet your soul will tell you to be very afraid. ;)
I’d gladly do that if the occassion ever arises, which I do not hope.
I’m not trying to look like a hardass, it’s just my belief.

That would be generally true, but not for me as a Christian ![]()

I’m familiar with the Christian body of thought, but the exact notion of “God killing one’s soul” is new to me. Anyway, I understand what you mean. If you really manage to display such self control under the above-mentioned circumstances, congratulations, though I hope you will never be put to that test.
I would’ve just ignored the kid after he threatened to slash my tires and driven away. Next day report it to the police or manager. The manager to ban the kid from the gym, and the police for everybody’s protection.
If the kid actually slashed your tire, hey, it will only cost $100 to replace, and with a police report the kid could be put under restitution, meaning that he or his parents (if he is a minor, which I’m sure he is) will be legally obligated to pay you back. The kid probably won’t care, but his guardian(s) will be majorly PISSED and will make sure that he never goes near a switchblade again.
I’m a teacher at a school for emotionally disturbed children (for only one more week, then I get to teach in a “normal” high school, thank goodness). Earlier this spring my 15-year-old student got mad 'cause I gave him homework for ditching classes, so he went to my car and threw a rock to it, breaking a window. The cop came and gave me a choice for him, arrest or restitution. Given that my student already had major emotional issues and wouldn’t learn anything from jail, I went for restitution. I also had my car moved much further away from my school where none of my students will be able to find it ever again.
Anyway, I’m glad everything was resolved sort of peacefully.

I talked to a person who works in the local courthouse, who happens to be the father of the friend I was taking home that night, and he said that someone pulling a knife is enough of a threat to where I can justly defend myself. So if worse comes to worse, I won’t be considered an attacker. But like some of you guys said, it is kind of in my nature to be the better man and just walk away.
In Georgia we have a law called 16-321 and it states that “that you can defend youself from danger from another or a third party” The kicker is that you have to be able to prove that you were in danger and that you had no choice to use nonlethal or lethal force. Force being defined as “compelling someone to do something agianst his or her will which could cause injury or death” I would also say this, when someone pulls a knife and you have the option to walk away it is always in your best to walk away. 85% of knife fights ends with someone getting cut. I am an instructor in ppct (preasure point control tactics) and knife defense. I have been in only two situations which I had to fight and not walk away. Both times I also got cut. I tell all my students that if you have no choice and you have to defend youself prepair to get cut becaus it will happen. Remember given the chance always walk away.
I’ve reached a turning point… I beat the shit out of some kids today, but it was for a purpose.

You can’t just give us that little teaser in a story thread like this one. You have to spill the whole enchilada big guy!
A turning point to becoming a street fighter? Or not taking shit? Or getting arrested? Seriously, tell the story.

Maybe to cutting down on the three B’s.
Here in Vancouver there is apparently a growing trend of groups of young kids, maybe 14 but as young as 11, swarming people and beating them down and kicking their heads in possibly to the point of permanent brain damage.
It’s one thing breaking someone’s nose, its another stomping them into the curb until they lie there twitching.
This really makes me think twice about the notion of hitting or pissing off a kid who seems disturbed. Next time you see him, he may be with 5 friends and holding a tire iron and you won’t be able to post your adventures because you’ll be in the hospital drooling.
