It has never been about if a POTUS candidate cares about you personally (unless you truly are a moron). It’s about which candidate you think will further shape the country more to your ideal vision.
Being likeable and able to elicite an intended emotional response from people is a hugely important trait for a leader.
As for working, well, I work to support my family and also because my work helps support some of the most vulnerable in our society. It’s a nice mix of profit driven and altruism driven.
