My name is Brett, I am a 23 y/o male I was looking to start a PED cycle when I got my bloods back and was a little bit shocked. I am currently cutting weight and weigh 175 down from 245 over the course of a year and a half. Let me know what you guys think my optimal route is from here. TRT?
Dude you’re 23 and… your numbers are fine. You need SHBG and FT for a full snapshot. Based on your elevated E2 you probably are low SHBG with higher FT. I think 23 years old shouldn’t partake in PEDs unless they are legit BB competitors.
Need more info on diet, lifestyle. I’d say you’re on the cusp of TRT but could maybe make some lifestyle adjustments first
I’m cutting atm so I consume around 2100 calories a day. I’m at about 195 g of protein per day and I am pescatarian as well so only fish. I vape regularly and am weekend warrior usually once a weekend I will drink. I also workout 5-6x a week for about an hour to an hour a half a day.
You seem like a healthy, young male on paper. Your pituitary is putting out plenty of LH, and signaling your nuts just fine.
Considering the fact that you’ve been in a calorie deficit for 1.5 years (to lose 70 pounds), you smoke and drink, and your nuts are still pumpin out in the 400s, I’d say you’ve got a very healthy endocrine system, too.
You asked for your optimal path. I think for you that would be…stop vaping, stop drinking. If you’re lean, start eating more. Eat more animals. Sleep 8+ hours every night, remove as much stress from your life as you can, and retest in three months. I’d be willing to bet your Test levels would be at least in the 700s. No TRT needed. I had a good friend with your levels do exactly what I just described and it got him in the 700s.
Train intelligently (not 5 days a week), build as much muscle as you can naturally over the course of a few more years. Then, reassess whether you want to dive into steroids.
A healthy, young 175-pound male with a well-functioning endocrine system and Test levels in mid range or higher should not hop on TRT. It’s meant to replace something that’s missing.
Nor should he hop on a cycle of anything before he has done everything he possibly can, naturally, to improve his physique.
Of course your body, your choice. I know what it’s like to want to be bigger when you’re a skinny 175. Hell, I’m 215 and still want to be bigger. It just makes the most sense to get as much mileage as you can out of the safest road possible, before taking more dangerous roads.
Best of luck to you, whatever you decide to do.
