I would suggest more carbs around your workout.

You cant live off protein supplements and coffee.

Fats?

Why fast carbs in the morning?
agreed^^^…you would probably want to limit fast acting carbs to before/during the workout.

also i would say dont try to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. without dead-on
nutrition, recovery, programming, experience etc its gonna be pretty hard… unless you’re
still getting your beginner gains. i tried this for a year a got no where.

i’ve seen people say they’ve been able to lose fat and gain muscle using the ANACONDA protocol
but that depends if you want to spend that much. also you dont look like you have a lot of body
fat but for those who are 15% + (give or take) are able to lose fat and gain muscle to an extent.

EDIT: if you are going to try to lose fat/gain muscle simultaneously why not try the ANACONDA protocol and cut out all the other crap?
No not at the same time different stages(phases) what ever you want to call them. I havent been in a beginner stage for a while. i have recently came back from high amounts of calisthenics and running(Army life). So just getting back to hard iron, still got some decent amount of strength, compared to others i have worked out with or trained. Lost the wheels, they wereabout 32 inches in circumference at 12% body fat before all the running, now like 24 tops.

And the ANACONDA Protocol looks really good but maybe when i have a some free cash, but just staying in shape for the APFT right now. I do want to try the Protocol though, looks great. but most things Thibs is part of is great, hahahaha i did the HST program for my chest aobut a year ago or so and got great results and it helped bring my bench up by about 20lbs it was cool. Like your avatar man its good shit.

6000 IU of vitamin D seems excessive…
Seems fine to me. 4-6000 is pretty common dose. Although it would be advisable to have your levels checked after a couple months of dosing like this. I wouldn’t dose that high if I spent time tanning, but for the winter it seems fine to me.
You might be right, and it could be a common dosage. I just thought it seemed excessive since the DRI’s are usually well under 1000 IU and a fat soluble vitamin like D, won’t be excreted in excess, it’ll become toxic. Basically, be cautious if you plan on supplementing that much. I personally only take 1-1000 IU pill in the morning and another before bed.
For what it’s worth, (don’t quote me on the exact #s) on a summer day a fair skinned person in the sun with most skin exposed can make something like 15,000 iu in 20 minutes or crazy like that. and that’s basically in line with the upper amount shown to be healthful. So you can tan everyday in full sun for 15 minutes. The tanning effect is a built in self check system with regards to getting too much vit D (think lifeguards). At the same time, if a lifeguard who worked outside all summer took 6,000 iu daily vit D, he’d likely be at a toxic or near toxic level if he took that amount during months he was exposed…

There’s a bunch of good threads on the subject on this website if you search for them. I use a tanning bed to get the majority of my vitamin D though, but I have taken 12,000 iu at a time (every other day or so) when i’m not getting any sun and I’m working inside all day, especially if it’s winter.

Those arent really bad levels f you live somewhere its cold or dont get out in the sun during the day due to your job. i have actually bumped my ntake up to 4-5000.

I have working on my peri workout nutrition, 1 scoop Bioactive Whey, 1 1/2 scoops L-Leucine, and about 5-10 grams of L-glutamine. Thats 60 mins out, and a 1000ml of H2O every 20-30 before first hitting the weights. And of course i drink coffee still but i found i dont get bloated with that and i do sweat more…so yeah.
