^^ I preferred Kat Dennings as Darcy, but I have fancied her for many years.

I would just like to say that the Asgard Gatekeeper was the most bad ass mother fucker in the movie. His character (although simple) was my favorite. I did enjoy myself throughout the whole movie. Worth the money [/quote]
dude, Heimdall was a black dude on the movie, it’s totally wrong.
Also if to the OP if you thought Thor was skinny just prepare to cry when you see Conan as Jason Momoa
I’m surprised no one else mentioned this…
STEROIDS!

Yeap. Tremendous change since his ‘Home and Away’ days.
I gave Thor 9/10. There were irksome moments in between but the movie is entertaining from start till end. Amazing special effects and fighting scenes. Hemsworth played the role perfectly. Seeing on 3D is a must.
this isnt gonna be in ireland for fucking months.

That one line made me hate the writer. I guess they will pull the same stunt in Captain America.
Either way, I liked it…a lot. I did not expect them to make that concept grounded in reality at all…but they did.
Thor was pretty good. The spoiler after the credits kinda sucked though!
Mooshi
Oh, I am sure it was mentioned, but I do like who they got for Hawkeye.

Didn’t you get the memo?..
Steroids let people stay at home all day, sit on the couch, eat whatever they want, and poof they are fucking jacked and ripped. Yep, pop a pill, shoot a needle, take a nap, and presto you are comic book hero huge in no time.
Sweet ass movie. Gods beating each other with hammers in outer space is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. The fact that the director/writers/actors were able to make that particular image fit into a movie without it being unbelievably ridiculous is even cooler.
One thing that irked me a lot though is the name “frost giant”. It sounds so stupid…like something you might read in a miserably stupid vanity-published fantasy novel. I cringed every time I heard it. I’m guessing it came straight from the comics or something, but either way…ugh. Other than that, the movie was awesome.

They’ve been “Frost Giants” for half a century.
Two thumbs up! Just saw this movie in 2D cuz 3D bothers me and is expensive. Thor’s always been one of my favorite superheroes because I love Roman, Greek, and Norse mythology. I was quite pleased with the casting of both Thor and Loki, they look just how I’d imagine… well, besides the fact that Thor wasn’t HUGE.
It makes me want to purchase a very large Hammer…

I wouldn’t have changed it either then. But, the name is still incredibly irritating to me. It adheres to an irksome unwritten formula for terrible, unimaginative, derivative fantasy/sci-fi: overused natural phenomenon/place + overused Lord of the Rings-ish cliche.

Wrong seeing 3D is definitely a NOT.
Surprised there’s been so little mention of Kat Dennings.

That’s because she wasn’t the “hot chick” in this movie. I don’t think I saw her out of her coat through the whole thing and she was dressed like a “researcher” or a hiker so clearly the goal was to downplay any hawtness she may have.

Yeah, it’s funny…I never would have known that the chick with those gigantic beautiful tits in those pictures was the same little research minion from the movie.
