Things That Piss You Off

Food for thought.

I honestly couldn’t care less which one they pick. Just fucking pick one and stick with it already! But I do agree about the early start time for schools. And I also think they should do recess for the younger kids before lunch. Let them run out all that energy that they have been storing up while stuck sitting in a classroom and get out all the talking that they have been itching to do. Then they can sit down and eat and be ready to go back to class.

I find this interesting in light of this study:

It’s been 2-months since I said that and it seems to be one of the best things I’ve ever done!

One of my weaknesses is Cliff bars, haven’t had one nor craved one in weeks. Ive also cut other carb sources significantly such as bread potatoes etc.

It’s been common in lifting to immediately get protein shakes in post lifting. I get my grapes in ASAP!

I get the protein much later post lifting.

Good for you! Grapes are 1000% better. I’m in full support of your grape habit. You know, in case you needed some emotional support in that area. Lol

My mother used to eat frozen grapes

That sounds difficult.

It’s actually pretty good.

Well, I might have to give it a try. Do you buy them frozen or do you freeze them yourself?

You can freeze them. It’s kind of like candy

I’m not sure if you actually understand why I find your views interesting in light of this study. It’s because a citable academic source says the opposite and is incongruent with your claims and I find that intriguing since you’re pretty adamant about your views even considering opposing citable material on the subject.

From the abstract:

Mixed-model ANOVA showed no significant effect of grape consumption on any of the outcomes. Six weeks of supplemental grape consumption by recreationally active young adults has no effect on VO(2max), work capacity, mood, perceived health status, inflammation, pain, or physical-function responses to a mild injury induced by eccentric exercise.

Are these subjects doing what I’m doing?

Intense lifting, 100rep squats???

I doubt it. These studies are useless comparing real intense lifting to subjects not doing this.

I also don’t want to sound like a typical old fart, but I’m twice your age, almost…close enough. You’ll find once you hit mid 40s your body is going to react much differently, so maybe me being old, the grapes have an affect. But I can say at age 25 I used them in strongman contests in hot weather and got great replenishment from them!

I don’t know, grapes having no significant effect on work capacity, VO(2max), inflammation, or ā€œphysical-function responses to a mild injury induced by eccentric exerciseā€ seems like it shouldn’t matter what personal anecdotes you throw at it since those are all factors that would feed into and contribute to the things you’re doing.

I only eat them Intra lifting or immediately after, I can say one thing for sure, It’s better than just water, way better.

You do you. I really don’t care one way or another.

I stand by it, it’s the best thing I’ve done so far, for me.

Lee Haney could eat pasta, but he couldn’t eat potato’s, he bloated from potatoes. But some guys could eat potato’s but not pasta. People react to different things. Everyone needs to find out how they respond.

Best hot day snack ever. Grapes, orange segments, formerly pineapple chunks.

A lady made us a bunch of frozen fruit one day cutting trees in her yard, about 25 years ago.

Locked in memory for life.

I’m just picturing chomping into a giant ice cube.
It makes my teeth hurt thinking about it.
