Are we just arguing about specific musicians?
Let’s say you compare the best guitarist you can think of to the best piano player you can think of, is there a significant difference in the amount of work it took to get there?
An extreme example is bass guitar vs violin. The bass player can likely play in a cover band in a few months of practice. The violinist likely still sounds unbearable in that amount of time. But the top tier bass players and top tier violinists have all dedicated an enormous amount of their life to mastering their craft. It didn’t take the bass player 1/10 the time to be seen as top tier compared to the violinist. It’s probably very close to equal among the people at the top.
That’s because she has implanted so much inorganic material into her ass it doubles as a sponge.

I understand the point, but I think it’s not accurate to think that the most successful musicians are the best musicians. You only really have to reach a certain level of proficiency and then the rest is marketing, sex appeal, connections, etc.
When they designed LA, they weren’t expecting much rain very often.

That’s a poor understanding of deserts. Phoenix has huge storm runoff paths. Even though it may rain infrequently, when it does rain, you need that water to go the right way and the ground is pretty bad at absorbing and holding onto water.

I completely agree. I acknowledge that Cardi B is successful, but I don’t think she is nearly as good at rapping or writing as Tupac.
I think that there will be talented / skilled individuals in basically all genres though, and those people are talked about because of their skills. To be one of those people requires dedication to the craft. There is a reason many people know who you are talking about when you say Neil Peart, if he hadn’t been as good, he would be referred to as the drummer from Rush. He was seen as a master of his craft. Someone drummers aspire to play like.
I could be wrong, but I think in 20 years, you could mention Tupac, and people will still know who you are talking about. I don’t think that will be true for Cardi B, and Tupac has already been dead for almost 30 years. There is a reason he has staying power. He was really good at what he did.
To be fair though, we do get some messed up stuff. That video was taken about a half mile from my house, and the volkswagen got stuck under a bridge at the bottom of my street.
I live a couple hundred feet above the 100 year flood plane mark though.

She is probably literally r-tarded. By the way, you mention writing. Look at the writing credits for her songs, each song has several writers. This is common in pop music these days as a song may have one writer but the performer, producers, and others all want a credit so they get a piece of the pie. The songwriter doesn’t have a choice but to share if he wants to sell his song and make some money.
