Things That Piss You Off

Yeah, you are probably SOL on this one. Are you covered by Apple care? They will replace accidental damage.

My computer is less than a year old so probably

Just go into a store and play stupid about the reasons it is not working. You pay a premium for Apple products in part because they need to just shut up and replace your stuff.

Just finished laying down my first-ever coat of paint on a guitar I’m building, fucking nailed it. Went to hang it on my power rack to dry, clipped one of my J-hooks, and gashed the finish. Luckily I want the look of this guitar to be white-trash tasty so the battle scar sorta works.

Being in sharp agonizing pain for many many years without hope of ever getting better.
Not a fan of that.

Asshole children and the parents that allow it to happen. Not a parent, but was generally a good kid growing up. I was expected to respect others, which I did, and to keep my deviance to a level that only inconvenienced myself.

I had to leave a ski resort to keep from going full-aggro on a group of kids that kept putting others in danger by not allowing the dude in front of them to successfully clear a jump before they hit said jump. If you weren’t willing to risk others’ and your own health and safety, the kids would jump up in front of you and you’d get stuck having to wait.

Tried talking to them (they were between 10 and 13) and they very colorfully told me to fuck off. Couldn’t really do much else, resort staff won’t do shit. In the cases where it’s been adults doing that I’ve been able to physically intervene, but with kids? Not willing to get sued or verbally battle someone half my age. Long story short, those parents fucking failed.

What do you mean? As in you’d call your drop and they’d snake you? Or there was a never-ending train of groms dropping 5sec apart?

Typicslly you drop as soon as someone gets to the lip. Keeps a busy park moving.

lol … this is the result of mass hysteria man … look at it as an opportunity … but yea, looks like my gains so far this year’ll be wiped out

They’d drop before the dude in front was even at the beginning of the jump, to where they were in the air before the person in front was clear. If the person in front would have wiped out they would have landed on them.

The issue is that they expected everyone to take that same risk and would snake you if you waited until the person was at the lip to drop. They’d also call you a pussy for waiting.

I should also add that 90+% of people in the park have no business being there. Most people don’t clear kickers and don’t get out of the way quickly when they fall, so you need to give extra time. Growing up they had an attendant that would kick people out that posed a danger to themselves or others.

I’m imagining night riding at a small Midwest ski hill with a ropetow for the park? I can see a crew of groms with attitude taking that over.

Park passes are nice to have but only make sense if there is a big park and small park. Gotta give young kids a place to sidehit the lips to rails lol.

Dealing with gapers is trying on the patience, and 10x moreso if they cop an attitude. Good job just calling it a night. No reason for you to make your bad night anyone elses.

Mass hysteria and automatic trading algorithms are not a good combination.

Yea, I’m sitting on a bit. Just very disappointed in my cheap oil stocks continuing to hit record lows.

You kids and your crazy lingos.

My old K2 Darkstar.

I speak fluent bro-brah. It’s like pig Latin for mountain sports dirtbags.

When’s the last time you were able to ride that board?

Able? I can ride it right now except that it’s 50 degrees and rainy outside!

Really though, I rode it a few years ago with my nieces and nephews. Took them out to teach them how to get on a lift, stop, turn, etc.

No delamination, edges are good, base is almost pristine, and there’s just a little chip out of the tail from when I loaned it to a buddy.

Think it was 1993 or 94 when I got that new.
