Things That Piss You Off

House shopping in a sellers market.

That my arm still can’t straighten so I can’t do deadlifts (or anything where I have to grip the bar really)

Slow walkers in a crowded grocery store.

Worse - people who go the ā€˜wrong’ way with the carts in a crowded grocery store.

I get your frustration

At least you have a legit physical limitation.
I ā€œcouldn’tā€ deadlift for 6 months even though I felt 100% fine

Regardless, thanks!

If you can. Squat as much as possible- it really transfers

I want to ask you people (as people in general) a simple question: do you treat your bathrooms at home the same way you treat the one at the gym? There is water goddamn everywhere all the time. And that is the charitable interpretation of the nature of that fluid. Surely, some of that is straight up piss. So worse case scenario is that there is constantly just piss everywhere in that gym toilet. WTF are you people doing in there?

Let the record show that absolutely zero of that water/piss you see there is from me.

My dorm bathroom is worse. At one point there was literally shit on the stall door (don’t even get started with the toilets)

Bad breathe. This guy sitting in front of me facing each other. Ughhh disgusting.

Things that piss me off?

My own time management skills, or lack thereof~

Sigh - sometimes I am my own worst enemy~

ya’know?

I haven’t bought a handgun in the People’s Republic of Maryland in a while so I looked up the current requirements (read hoops & extra taxes) in case I buy one later this year. Need a license (HQL) that cost $50 + $20/10 years and get fingerprinted. At least I’m exempt from the training requirement. Such gracious overlords.

At least this has helped reduce murder in Baltimore… I’ll probably get red flagged for complaining about it on the internet.

I fucking hate this State.

Hey man… have you looked up how hard it is to get a handgun in Aus… you need

  • a gun safe
  • criminal background check
  • be a member of a shooting club
  • fill out a ton of paper work, after which you’ve got a 28 day cooling period before you can actuallt purchase a gun
  • be subject to random, unannounced police housechecks

Very easy to get a rifle/shotgun if you’re rural like I am though, with these firearms not all of these restrictions apply

Gun ownership is considered a privilege rather than a right here, but the problem is… those who are of a low socioeconomic demographic literally can’t afford to have handguns now… (gun safe, shooters club membership)

However if the handgun is a cap/ball revolver manufactured before 1901 all these regulations go out the window if you’re in QLD or VIC

So whilst I’m not a fan of guns, I sympathise with you’re struggle as I’ve attempted to get started with skeet shooting, but jeez… I really don’t like cops, don’t want them looking through my shit

Had one bad experience almost getting arrested for possession of cannabis (and a TIIINNNNY amount mind you)

Ya… Australia lost their mind a while ago. Along with half the world at least.

Australia has become a police state of sorts, NSW and QLD being the worst. I’m actually all for stricter gun control… but not to the extent we have in Aus, I like the models present in Canada/Alaska. Very high rates of gun ownership but low rates of gun violence

In Australia shootings/stabbings (moreso stabbings) happen, but it isn’t talked about very much

For instance, if you’re a felon/have been convicted of a violent crime I don’t think you should be able to purchase a gun

I lean towards less restrictions, but there’s plenty of middle ground to be found. But, I digress. Don’t want to open that can of worms, lol.

So you need to pay for the license and get fingerprinted, while others without military experience (I’m assuming that’s why you’re exempt) need some training? That’s the extent of it, right?

I have literally zero hidden motives for asking, I’m just making sure I’m clear on what you meant.

Yup plus the standard background check.

We can create another thread on this and talk about this topic, wait… I think there’s a thread on this… let’s talk on there

But gun violence per capita when adjusted for populace in America vs Australia… American rates are still a good 10x higher… at LEAST… might’ve been 20x higher

I don’t recall the exact number, I did quite a bit of research on this a while ago.

Something that pisses me off are people who purposefully drop weights in gym… like you’ll be doing curls with 25lb dumbbells, afterwards you lift them up over you’re head and drop them…

Let’s not … something about a dead horse

I’ll have to remain skeptical of your numbers but if you say so…

Yea, I don’t get this either; it’s dangerous and an unnecessary distraction…

I spilled a bit of water on my MacBook keyboard and now the keyboard won’t work- seriously, are they that fragile???

I put it on top of a fan for a couple of hours last night and it still doesn’t work
