Things That Piss You Off

So he absolutely is getting special treatment then? In your own words he sint good enough on merit to be displacing any starters, yet he wants a league wide Tuesday try-out?

sounds like this is less a blackball on the DL, more a ‘you want wwhat? how good do you really think you are? well if you’re that good you’ll get scouts on a saturday then’

Teams want the tryout, kap wants the tryout, and the NFL office is intentionally stacking the deck against him.

But, im more than willing to change my opinion as this plays out.

This is the only part im unconvinced by.

Didn’t he play for San Francisco? That is the most liberal place he could have played.

Antonio Brown would be a top 3 receiver right now if he was playing. Nobody will sign him, even teams that desperately need a receiver.

He has been accused of sexual assault and is an absolute cancer to be around. Intangibles do matter if they’re bad enough.

The league is trying to polish the image and be just woke enough for fans to watch.

Yup, had some great years there, but the miners have moved on and have no need to take a chance on him.

Dolphins, lions, skins, falcons, raiders, broncos are all teams I could see taking a chance and seeing how he develops.

The federal REAL ID Act requires me to go sit at the MVA for lord knows how long with FOUR fucking forms of identification. Thanks for wasting my time, Ingsoc.

I feel you- in China, all surgeries, even minor ones are considered “inpatient “. As a result, I’ve twice had to wait 16hours in a hospital for a procedure that took less than 10 minutes

That’s insane.

The second time, the surgeon actually did my procedure during a break in the middle of a longer operation

Thank you for bringing this up. I’m surprised no one else jumped on the opportunity sooner. He’s the perfect example of skills being erased by stupidity.

Tyreek Hill wasn’t actually charged with anything. Police were called and documented what they were told. It wasn’t enough for any charge.

I’m actually shocked that K. Hunt isn’t under further scrutiny. I’m glad, because that girl had it coming. There’s a reason they didn’t charge that case. I’m not condoning kicking a woman, but women also can’t jab their finger in your face while calling you a racial slur without consequence.

People confuse 1st Amendment Rights with rules, laws, etc. I can’t threaten to burn your house down while standing in the driveway with a can of gas. I also can’t get in your face and call you every name under the sun and then cry foul when you punch me in the nose. It’s called provoking an assault and it’s a real thing.

Man, I know I have never been in the NFL, but I have a lot of years of team sports at a lot of levels, and I have never found this to be the case. In high school we voted to kick off arguably the best wide receiver in the state the week before state championships because he beat the hell out of his gf and it was causing problems in the locker room. In college, we cut a lot of guys because they had attitudes or behavior problems that we didn’t want on the team. Maybe it is different in professional sports with money on the line

Under the law you can … otherwise it’s implied that word are violence … and they are not … it’s completely within my control of I let your words injure me in any way … however it is not within my control if I get injured if you strike me … ergo it is but acceptable to strike someone because of words they said provided there is no imminent threat of physical violence

While true in a paper legal sense it would affect:

  1. the officer’s decision to arrest
  2. The DA’s decision to charge
  3. A judge’s leniency
  4. A jury’s decision

Two scenarios:

  1. You punch me because I parked too close to you and dinged your door.

  2. I parked too close to you and dinged your door. When confronted about it I went on a rant about how I’m sleeping with your wife and your kid looks like me. I’m just screaming this awful nonsense in your face with witnesses. Then you punch me.

Guaranteed different charges brought, if any at all in the second scenario. Even though in both cases you punched me whilst I was being non violent.

Lol

We have an ordinance that can be used in that very situation. And you don’t have to get punched. Running your mouth can result in an arrest. It’s in our disorderly conduct category - saying something that causes alarm, anger, or resentment in another.

It’s actually what they charge in my first example about burning the house down when the DA’s office chooses not to charge criminal threat.

Question for you military guys - there’s countless people on the internet who bash cops and military members and the nation as a whole, and just are generally rude and disrespectful.

Do you feel more upset about Kap because he was a public figure? Like he’s not the first or only to act the way he’s acted. Is it “worse” because he had a platform and there’s a face to put to the action?

Thank you for your service. While I don’t necessarily agree with the US militarily intervening everywhere, I value the people willing to serve the country. TBH, the stories I’ve heard about the VA really piss me off

For sure. I agree and thank you.

He’s an ignorant halfwit perpetuating lies, false narratives and bullshit. Dumb fucks like him are dangerous.
