Just bought a new amp and breaking it in, it sounds so good. Best 400$ I’ve spent by far. I used to be all about expensive equipment but realized I just need to tweak the settings a bit to get what I want
Also I’ve been getting back into a obsessive guitar phase which seems to happen on and off every few months, Rory Gallagher is such an amazing guitarist and I wish I was half as talented as he was
Lately, working on my first camper van build has been bringing me a lot of joy. There’s something really satisfying about slowly turning an empty shell into a livable space. Just installed sprinter van bump outs to make room for a sideways bed - small change, but it makes a huge difference. Can’t wait to hit the road once it’s all done.
I like that you replied to this thread and the things that piss you off thread a few minutes apart with relevant but unrelated to each other posts. Balance makes me happy.
ive been trying to clean up sec filings from 199-2023 for a bunch of companies to get the sections that talk about their competitors . These things are large, messy and have inconsistent formatting.
anyways, after a lot of work, some crashes, and help from 2 discord servers, accounting friend and GPT, I finally got the documents cleaned
shrunk 146gb worth of files down to 8.7gb of mostly useful text and metadata
Something that makes me grin still to this day is when I finished up my IBEW apprenticeship and became a full fledged journeyman electrician. Proudest day of my life.
Les Paul guitars. New one on the way courtesy of UPS.
This is a Studio model, traditionally an aesthetically chipped down version of the standards. It’s specifically a Studio Session however, a new offering from Gibson.
For any guitar nerds this means is does have the AA maple top, ebony fret board plus all the hardware. Grover tuners, 57’ and 57’+ humbuckers, coil tapping technology et cetera.
what it’s missing is the maple band marrying the body pieces. Usually beautiful on their two-tones to give a color break but on this color scheme (dark purple burst) I actually prefer the continuity.
I’m excited to try it out, and plan to break it in with some Ozzy. Seems timely and fitting for the look.
I am an ultrasound tech in a high risk OB setting.I had a patient that I had scanned several times with a very bad prognosis. She and her husband told me that they loved when I was the one who scanned them because for a little bit of their day I made them laugh and think of something other than the situation they were in.
I don’t doubt it. That man has been through quite a bit with me. I’ve been through all kinds of weights and levels of health. Never seemed to care how I looked, although sometimes concerned about my health. But he gets super excited when I get PRs in the gym and obviously if I’m happy with myself it makes his life a bit easier. No one wants a wife who is cranky all the time. Lol. But yeah, I think he’s proud.
Thank you! I’m happy I did too. I had almost given up on myself. But it’s hard to give up when you see how much people on here are doing! And they are so supportive. Makes me feel like I’m not doing it alone. And I feel like I have something to prove. Lol
