My wife uttered the words “i’m getting sick of chicken” this week, and she doesn’t like red meat or fish…
What I am supposed to cook now?

I guess the funny part is I will just end up making a meal for me and one for everyone else in the family.

Is she averse to vegan sources? well marinated tofu or tempeh in the air fryer or pan fried is really good

I love me some chicken, thing is I’m slightly allergic to it - every time I eat chicken breast, my skin tingles like 20 to 30 minutes after, not uncomfortably, just a slight tingly sensation

Braised bone-in pork shanks.

Turducken, minus the chicken, also comes to mind. I think you could probably substitute a pork shank for the chicken.

lamb shanks are better

doubt it. IDK if there’d be enough moisture to make the pork shank nice

You can actually do a lot of good things with pork, including the blasphemous act of taking the bone out of your shank. If you do it after slow braising it slides right out REALLY nice. Oh yeah. Nice and slow. Don’t make a mess now. Just enjoy the moment.

Yes, I thought I could get her to like more foods (I was young and not very wise). I have succeeded a little bit. She now eats steak occasionally and most shellfish, and a rare pork chop.
Also got her to eat more onions, mushrooms, and some greens.

Finally ! Someone who agrees with me on this!

When I met my wife she did not eat fruit. Like never had pineapple, strawberry, kiwi, melon, and a few others. I didn’t even understand how that was possible. We found out that most of them are fine, but kiwi is no good for her. She really swelled up with that one. She now eats fruit regularly.

I was not-blah just last night and then again as leftovers for lunch today, and enjoyed it immensely both times.

Oh, and I had a single slice of the other white meat in the form of bacon this morning! SO NOT BLAH.

I’m having leftover roasted tenderloin transformed into pork tacos tonight. I had bacon yesterday, which I view as slightly off-white meat thanks to the pork industry’s generous efforts at helping us understand pork better back in the 80’s.

I have always wanted to try rabbit. Can’t tell if that would be red or white meat somewhere in between.

Excellent advertising by the pork producers to convince us bacon was a healthy white meat.
