It was one of the better showings of action that I’ve seen in a while. I never saw the previews, but I think more people should have given it a chance. After the first 5-10 minutes or so, it picks up speed and pretty much stays that way.

It wasn’t a true remake of the original aside from the basic premise of the boat turning over. It’s like the real reason most guys even saw Titanic the first time before we realized it was a love story…to watch a ship blow the fuck up and sink. The opening sequence is all CGI except for two closeups and it was done well.

I rented this over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Glad I didn’t pay attention to the reviews b/c they all seemed to be negative…I don’t understand why. Like X, said it was one of the better action flicks I’ve seen in a while.[/quote]

I never saw the critic reviews for it, but if they said it was bad, that is just one more reason not to listen to them. I wish more movies were made like that. It seems that if it isn’t pure CGI crap then it will get downplayed.

Bumping into people you haven’t seen in ages…a girl i worked with late last year fell pregnant with twins and left to go back to the UK for support, i lost her email BUT she came into work last week and we were crying and laughing. She has twin girls, 3 months old…

Sitting with my girls when we all go back home laughing and reminicesing with a couple of bottles of champagne…laughing uncontrollably is a particular high point!

The fact that i won’t be a student for ever…(and that when i meet people who are 10 years older than me in the same position i am in now and i wonder what i will have accomplished in 10 years)

Children. I was at work the other day i looked outside and there was a group of pidgeons and a toddler…and from the way she was moving i couldn’t tell the difference. It has made me smile all day!
