I will enjoy following this thread, are you working with a coach?
Not at the beginning, although I probably will if I ever decide to actually compete. In that case I’ll work with someone for the last 4-6 weeks, when objectivity is thrown out the window!
Why the large doses of fish oil in the absence of any real degree of fat to lose? I was always under the impression it was @ about 1g/percent of fat to shed.
Can you provide any information about Anaconda? Obviously it is something you are using for your preparation, is this something along the lines muscle mass preserver, fat burner, or both?

The best way to describe it is that it is the low-carb equivalent of Surge Recovery.

Yes it. But I always start my diets with a high dose (30-45g) for 2-3 weeks.
Today’s first workout is completed. It was relatively easy… chest & delts. 2 pressing exercises for chest and 2 isolation moves all for 4 sets 10-12 reps, with the goal of depleting muscle glycogen. Shoulders was pretty much the same but only did 1 pressing movement and 2 isolation ones.
Hey Christian, i have a question about the beyond failure sets.
Do you do them the way Trevor Smith described and invented them in the past, depleting the ATP / CP / Lactate and Glycolic system all at once in one set?

im guessing this is not 4 working sets, am i correct?
I know you’re the boss, but I’m just trying to help. I always thought you advocated that when starting a diet it was better to hold off all cardio until fat loss stalls and then adding cardio sessions. I really hope you win the competitions, you really deserve it with all the KNOWLEDGE and experience you have gathered over the years.
p.s. I hope you got my email
Anthony

By beyond failure I simply meant going past the point of failure, not following a specific methodology. I might use drop sets, rest/pause sets, mechanical drop sets, partials, etc.

I only do 2 weekly cardio sessions, which is about what I normally do.

Just a quick question. I’m just wondering why you opt for the BCAA’s during workout instead of using Surge Workout Fuel like you usually recommends.
Coach, it looks like almost all of your dietary fat is coming from fish oil. I know the benefits of high doses of fish oil, but is there any reason that your not including other healthy fats in the diet(eg olive oil, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, nuts, etc)?
