Since you guys suck at making up a challenge, I will :sunglasses:

At the END of your next LEG day (or equivalent), you young blokes are to do the following:

  • Set a timer for 3minutes
  • START with 1 pull-up
  • Drop off bar than do 1 Push-up
  • Repeat until 3 minutes is up.

NOTES

  • Pull-ups must be from full ROM (a small bend in the arm at the bottom is acceptable but no jumping up), chin must go over bar.

  • Pull-ups can be any grip. You may change your grip throughout the challenge.

  • Push-ups must be full ROM (nose/chest to floor, arms locked out at top)

  • No video is required but keep cheating out of it. If you want to cheat go to a forum that doesn’t have ā€˜Testosterone’ in the name

  • ONLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF PULL-UPS YOU DO!!!

Good luck lads, I’ll also give it a run to see how bad my conditioning is :smile:

That’s going to suck complete balls. After my squat widow maker I’m usually drooling on the floor, and then doing a bunch of pull-ups and pushups? Disgusting. :stuck_out_tongue: I’m still game, though,

Haha I actually do think im a little sadistic, but I also like to become accustomed to pain myself so a touch of masochism in there to :wink:

I’m actually thinking of giving it a go 2day. I have the day off now and if my day stays non busy I’ll hit the gym.

Ill be doing mine on Sunday. If I’m still alive, ill post my results

I’m down with chucking 40kg on the bar and doing as many as possible. 60 would be too heavy for everyone to do 20+ with which thereafter it gets fun. Also record it. Can we do SSB or nah.

I’ve done sets of 30 with 95lb after reading a Dan John article.

It’s not that bad.

Now, if you boys go onto 50+ reps… then kudos.

I guess my question was more of asking whether you can even keep it up without just thinking ā€œFuck this, I’m outā€.

10 minute time cap works well enough. Just pretend its conditioning instead of squatting.

Imma give that a try as a conditioning session after my regular squat day on Weds or some such.
