You should get some sleep.

12 pages. 12 damn pages of guys trying to posture themselves as either prof’s friend, his enemy, or his replacement.

My only contribution to this thread is but this:

dipshit007 - texascunt…same poor, lost fucking idiots missing a true father figure?

  1. Neither would get the theme of a thread if it slapped them in the face.

  2. One is the strongest mofo that ever lived…the other is the richest.

  3. Both have issues with being able to STFU.

  4. Neither of them have any humility whatsoever.

To repeat my point. They are the same person. I hesitate to call them guys because I have seen more testosterone in my post menopausal mother-in-law.

Probably a good idea. Quick surf, sleep and then head to work. Might log in after the surf but I’m not making any promises.

Have a good weekend fellas. Friday nights are always huge on the Gold Coast.

And… you are a total dick.

Doesn’t make me feel any better one way or the other. You seem to be the one that has something to prove on the internet - so does texcunt.

Prof X,please dont go!

               old friend

Reading this has certainly been an entertaining way to kill some time this morning. I laughed, I cried, but mostly I laughed.

Good luck on the next phase of your life Prof. X.

Have you been in twenty years yet Prof?? I did 4 in the Navy and got out, at our twenty year high school reunion I met a buddy who enlisted when I did (we even road the same bus to our processing center in Montgomery) and was about to retire, made me think, I could have retired 6 years ago if I had stuck with it.

Can I get those wise-words printed on a bumper-sticker…or better yet a dozen T-shirts so I can wear it to the gym so people can know that I am both great and humble.

That would be an awesome T-shirt, wouldn’t it?

Your 2 posts are amazing. I almost think Prof X wrote that post in an ambiguous fashion just to tweak up people like you and people who wish he would just go away because your egos are so delicate. But cheer up… I’m sure he feels bad that he wrote something that went way over your head.

Great post. I did leave it vague. I left it vague on purpose. The only time the true jackasses show their form is when they believe a response isn’t on the way.

DS007 (along with a few others) has posted several times in a thread that he states is a poorly written piece of trash that only his classmates in junior high could outdo.

So, why do people like that keep responding? This thread has been read nearly 7,000 times in just over a day and I know that pisses some of you off. If there is any reason I would avoid this place, it is simply because of jealous nonsense from people who really aren’t doing much themselves.

When I wrote about my grandmother dying http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=927604
, where were the posts about how much of a waste it was and how it is just craving attention? When I wrote about a soldier who was nearly killed in Iraq that I had the chance to observe http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1083336
, where was everyone writing that I think so highly of myself and just want to be seen?

I write. That is what I do. It helped me win $200 dollars worth of supplements here in that writing contest http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1179169
yet a post about me making a pretty large decision in my life gets attacked…because some of you felt it was an easy way to get a quick jab in because I wouldn’t respond back?

For everyone who called me out, why not engage me personally? My computer won’t be unplugged for at least another 20 hours so at least show you aren’t a pussy by attacking me directly. Otherwise, what is one to think?

I am tired of logging in and seeing ridiculous posts by people who clearly don’t even have the drive to reach even the lesser goals they tell us about here. That alone wouldn’t make me avoid posting again. I have things to take care of which is all that post was about. It is interesting though seeing what people read into it…especially the nutless ones who keep quiet at other times.[/quote]

And this is why I read Prof. X’s posts. He’s a good writer and while I don’t agree with everything he says, it’s still worth reading.

Keep posting X, some of us still enjoy reading about peoples’ experiences as well as lifting advice.

Although I doubt he’ll see this post b/c the way this thread has taken a turn for the worse, I wouldn’t keep checking it.

Take care X, keep us updated on your status as you go. I’ve always enjoyed your posts, liked your humor, and no holds barred approach. You definitely are a true T-Man and cannot be replaced. You’ve helped me out with my journey back, and answered my questions promptly. If your life leads to MI anytime, drop me a line I’d be happy to get on my RR and ride with ya, or even a roof over your head for the night.

Keep that 1000RR shiny side up, take care of yourself before anything else, do what you do best, and good luck.

Until you get where you are going, Peace bro.

Although we never really responded directly to each other or anything, I’d just like to put out that I admire the hell out of the guy. Like I’m sure has been mentioned before, X was someone you could expect to inject a sense of sanity and intelligence into most threads, and for that i’d like to thank him.

In addition, his posts - along with those of some other veterans on here that i hope stick around - made me realise awhile back that 180lbs ain’t that big, and i’ve been trying to catch up since, heh.

Cheers man, hope you catch that wind soon

Man,I just want to say–your avatar is great!

I’d wish X would stick around. sometimes he’d be contrary for the sake of being contrary, but when I didn’t know something I knew I could ask him and he’d be there to answer it.

If you get fed up and see no fix, just move on.

I don’t see a need to say “goodbye”. It’s not like we all roomed together in college or served in WW2.

I love T-Nation as much as anyone but it’s just a anonymous bodybuilding chat-room for goodness sake.

I agree with your logic here, but X was one of the most prominent posters here. If most of the guys here stopped posting, no one would notice, let alone create thread topics on it. When X stops posting after a while, people wonder where he is and then we have 10 new threads asking about what he eats, how he lifts, what his numbers are, etc. So in this particular case, I feel like it was necessary.

He’s not the first prominent poster to leave. There were a lot of different folks back in the day that left for various reasons.

This is only a web forum. It’s not the gym or the real world. long winded wistful farewells are gay.

Unless you’re Lou Gehrig retiring. but he wasn’t very ong winded.

Lol i tend to agree, is it just me or does the OP remind me of the recurring fantasy we all get from time to time that we could somehow fake our own death, and then sneak around in disguise just to see who cries the most at our funeral and what people have to say about us?

Hmmm, now that i think about it, i am experiencing a little bit of “the wind” too, but it has more to do with mirtha’s 5 alarm chili that i ate yesterday than anything else though.
