I just feel like the producers have nothing new to write, so they are dragging this out as long as they can.
As far as in the show these people continue to make the same mistakes over and over, like getting picked off one by one because they always split up for some dumb reason. Also I don’t understand why they keep trying to find the next civilization, there is nothing left.
They should have plenty to write. The comics have paved the way for the best story yet with the introduction of Negan, hopefully. One of the most fucked up characters. I’m pretty sure it will happen since they are going to D.C. I’m afraid they will drag their journey there for the rest of the season.
Also, it shouldn’t be a big surprise Tyrese died. I forget when he died in the comics, but I don’t remember the death being that lame. They could have killed him off in a better, more heroic fashion.
I didn’t like the episode much either.

Tyreese dies in the comic the exact way they killed Herschel in the show. Similar to how what happened to Bob in the show happened to Dale in the comics.
Is it just me, or does it seem like there is more commercial air time than the actual show? I DVR it and felt like I spent more time fast forwarding the commercials than actually watching the episode.
. . . .Tyreese get bit by a lone walker and talk to dead people for a half a fucking hour. Seriously?? The guy who fucking survived carrying a baby, a useless preteen, and her bat shit crazy sister. The guy who, with nothing but a hammer, fucked up like 20 walkers at once . . . .

I actually appreciated that.
Real bad-asses never get killed while being a bad ass – they’re “on.”
They get killed by getting shot in the back of the head when taking a cowardly REMF who is faking PTSD to a shooting range (just for an example that is in the news).

You aren’t the only one. I made a comment to my friends when we watched it. I rarely watch cable anymore because I feel as though the amount of commercials are increasing.

Ya the people I watch it with and I all commented on the back to back segments that were like 2-3 minutes only, followed by longer commercial breaks.
At the end of the show I was wondering how long the run time for this episode was because it felt like a lot of commercials. Normal 1 hour shows have like 42-44 minute run times, this felt like sub 40. Not a huge deal, but it was jarring when we got a little show and right back to commercial twice in a row.

I got it clocked at about 43 minutes which includes the typical intro song with the cast.

I’m losing my patience with this show. That episode straight up sucked ass. Did they really need to dedicate a whole episode to that?
I’m losing my patience with the whining that this show generates from its fans.

Yeah Tyrese wouldn’t did all those things because he was protecting someone else. He would have never gotten a ‘heroic’ death, because he always pulled through in those moments to save Judith or whoever.
People complain about the realism of this show but this seemed realistic. The world wouldn’t care that you were a cool character, sometimes people die it ways that seem lame or easily preventable.
I watched the show last night. Little slow, but clearly building to something.
Things I wonder about:
The meaning of the “circle X” that the lone wolf black guy is following. I assume they have something to do with clearing areas, but could be some kind of tramp sign.
The car wreck that they parked next to, one episode ago. What fell out were armless and legless walkers. I assume they were being harvested for some reason – e.g., for use as security or perhaps they would dissuade other walkers.

Friend Andy, of course.
My alarm went off big time when Andy showed up. A guy too squeaky clean in the midst of everything going on, I’m not buying it. He would be on a very tight leash.
Also, why isn’t there more fucking going on ? If they have to repopulate the planet, better get started, starting with Maggie and the Latina with the pig tails.

Maybe they are too exhausted to have sex?

That, and:
They smell nasty. As in, they don’t have enough water to drink, let alone bathe.
On that topic, can they not find a sail boat? Easy cruise up from Atlanta. Easy to find fish. Only problem would be water, and it’s not like there are not 1000 rivers hitting the Atlantic. Pirates would be an issue, I am sure.
Women’s sex drive is nil when in that kind of situation, simply because a baby is such a liability.

I’m not too familiar with the east coast, but aren’t there some islands right off of the coast that are accessible by a boat. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to try and find a secluded island and kill off whatever walkers are left and try to make that there home? I mean the water would be their natural defense. They could probably crow their own food and there might be local wildlife that is edible.

What is the end game ? Do they try to find a cure ? Start over with the human race ? At what point do you stop moving and say fuck it, this is home ?
Good point. I’d say the hope for a cure is pretty much a lost cause at this point. Finding a home and starting over again should be what they are looking for. It’s hard though with a constant threat though.

I thought his name was Aaron.
Regardless, it is a little queer for him to be squeaky clean like that. I mean, he looks fabulous and rather dandy. Was he hiding in a closet during the entire first part of the zombie apocalypse and just now came out?!
(My theory of his identity is not-so-closeted in my post above.)

Bring Lucille into the show!! I wonder if they do bring in Negan and Lucille that if he will use the Lucille on another character other than Glenn. I feel like the writers of the show don’t want to break up Glenn and Maggie.
