Good episode. I’ve come to the conclusion Negan will not appear in this season. My guess in the finale is the hint near the end of this episode. The zombies were banging on the town walls like they could sense the people inside. Part of the wall will be compromised and zombies will get into town. Rick will redeem himself by helping save lives by killing the walkers. Someone important will die, I really have no fucking clue.
I agree, the end of the season finale will likely end like season 2 did with Michonne, just showing Negan for the first time at the very end.

I also predict the walls will be breached, and while I’m not sure who will die, if anyone, from the main cast, I also predict Morgan will make an appearance to rest of the group and probably assist in saving the day in some way.

I’m hoping Eugene will be the one who dies, but that would be an easy/cheap way to kill off someone from the main group while keeping fan favorites safe.
I dont know, Eugene has a lot of potential, especially in a civilized enclave.

Very true. He was the one who found the motherboards. Plus killing him off won’t have that big of an effect on viewers. I think it has to be a character from the prison or before.

Is it just me or was it really a struggle to watch the guy who plays Rick try to act in this episode? It’s like you can physicaly see him push his lines out with his body movement. At least the actor that plays Carl is slowly improving over time, what the fuck is Rick’s excuse?

That and I can’t believe how bad of an ass whoopin he got. Come on dude you gonna get knocked out by a soft surgeon whose punching bag is his surburban wife. Put Carol in the mix she’d fuck that dude up.

I think Carol and Glenn have been the standout characters…at least for the last half of this season.
I think it is partially the accent, he is actually British in real life. I have seen him in other things, he is much more believable and authentic in the other roles he plays.

Surprised there isn’t any comments about sunday’s episode though.

Seriously. He’s a freaking police officer. Pretty sure they know a thing or two about close combat.

This show grinds my gears…

Like the previous episode when Glen declares the front of the building is no good. So at the end of the episode they go out the front door… and look what happened.

And what was the lady doing up in the loader bucket? Clearly not looking out for walkers.

I know he is British but I’m not sure what that has to do with anything. Other actors have spoken with other accents without this issue. Also, he’s five seasons in. Should be pretty comfortable speaking with a slightly Southern American accent. I think it is just his acting style or the way he is being coached to act for the show. It’s like the physical struggle of making the words come out of his mouth is supposed to supply intensity to their meaning. Maggie is British and for the most part her Southern accent is tolerable and she doesn’t seem to struggle like Rick does.

And speaking about things that grind your gears on the show. Holy Fuck Michonne learn how to hold a hand gun. She was holding her pistol at the very bottom and tea cupping it. The barrel was pointed downward at such an angle that if she was 10 ft away a head shot would be hitting the stomach. I agree with the many other people that have stated…WTF??? How does a show this popular with a decent budget not have a fire arms adviser? There are so many hobbyists that would do the job for free.

There are so many dumb sacrifices of logic on this show to advance the story-line that it is infuriating. All of these problems could be solved by a little attention to detail and better writing. I honestly think it is just a lack of “give a fuck”. We’re a popular show so we just kind of have to show up and that’s about it.

/RANT

I think you guys are being too picky. I’ve come to accept some of the ridiculous things that happen in the show. Like how everybody can get a headshot when they are shooting at zombies but when they are shooting at other people they always miss.

Just when I talk about people criticizing too much and then that happens…

Spoilers…

Yeah the guy that guarded the gate let Gabriel in and then casually walks away and says ‘can you close that for me.’ Come on, give me a fucking break.

Haha, overall it was a good episode episode except I was sure somebody was going to die. It didn’t feel like a season finale though.

I have no idea what is going on with the wolves thing though. The people who trap the walkers in the semi trailers.

I liked the finale (a lot). Carol has been kickass this season.

I started watching this show late and am not familiar with the guy with the staff. Can someone tell me who he is and why Rick seemed surprised when he saw him at the end of the show ?

That’s Morgan. He saved Rick’s life at the very beginning.

I could say more, but it would ruin too much for you. Go watch the rest of the episodes. You’ve missed a lot.

Well after watching the season finale I’m left wondering…Why the fuck was that 90 minutes long?

It’s really hard to stomach some of the stupidity. I may not watch next season.

I enjoyed the episode a lot. Like the wolves as antagonists. Like Morgan.

The timing of Rick doing-what-he-did when Morgan arrived was perfect.

Like the wolves, but having them running around with no lead in their pencils is a little weird. If they’re really pillaging the fuck out of everything in their path I would think they’d have ammo. It seriously limits their legitimacy as a threat if they don’t.

Maybe they mistook Morgan as an easy target and didn’t think they’d need it? I did like the deception they tried to pull on him though. Reminded me of the raptors in Jurassic Park.

Morgan certainly seemed different than the last time we saw him. Do I remember correctly that Rick’s group may owe Morgan some gear because they took some of his supplies when he was set up in the building. The wolves will make for a difficult adversary, tricky bastards. The trap at the loading dock was great. I think low on ammo or out would be common for these groups. The amount of shooting Rick’s crew has done would deplete the supplies quickly.
I liked the situational ethics the politician demonstrated. Went quickly from we will not kill our own to having Rick kill the doctor.
Can anybody explain what is up with the preacher? I can not follow what he is doing at all.

The wolves’ idea of using music to herd the walkers could be useful. Plant an explosive underneath a speaker playing loud music, let the walkers gather around, and boom. Would be a great way to clear out a large area with little effort.

I imagine ammo is running low for everyone.

Reminds me why I have a reloading set up and a working knowledge how to make salt peter out of horse piss.

Rick’s/the prison group did something similar in the first episode of least season IIRC.

When they went to the store with the large group, the ones who found the location first used music to clear the general area. And then the chopper fell through the roof.

As for the finale, I liked it. It was a typical TWD finale though, no big cliff hangers and not tons of resolution either.

I suspect the war with the saviors/wolves will end up taking up the next 2 seasons, considering the conflict with Woodbury took basically 1 season to resolve.

I understand that realistically ammo would be low for most, but this show has not been all that realistic when it comes to weaponry. Daryl still has crossbow arrows FFS.

And you’d think if the wolves are raiding and trapping people that they would have accumulated a decent stash.

I was able to watch a few older episodes from 2010, where Rick and Glenn were trapped inside a store with Daryl’s brother cuffed to a pipe on the roof. They were able to get out, and Rick was reunited with his wife and Carl.

This show is much better than I thought, I do need to binge watch this some weekend.

Would it be? According to the way this world was written the virus took hold fast, people died or turned FAST plus they started off in the south (an ammo rich environment)so with all the ammo still in stores and gun shops and now empty police HQ’s, and local ranges, why would anyone left alive from millions to dozens be ammo deficient? I mean the shooting population of the world is now dead the ammo didn’t die with them.
