The Walking Dead Season 4

You make a solid point. We are how many episodes in and what is this season even about?

Season 1 had a clear overall plan, escape and find out what was going on
Season 2 Find semi permanant shelter and establish leadership and roles
Season 3 Fight woodbury and setup base campe at prison
Season 4 ???
Season 5 Profit
I kinda see it more like:

Season 1: Survive in the new world even though walkers are a threat.
Season 2: Have a “normal” life on the farm. Whoops, walkers are still a huge threat.
Season 3: Adapt to their new home, the prison. Whoops, Governor proves other survivors are still a huge threat.
Season 4: Decide to keep living in their “home” or, soon enough, consider moving on. And, whoops, plain old mother nature is still a huge threat.

So, no place is safe no matter where they go or what they try to do. They’re being almost-literally decimated by this flu or whatever, and we know the walls outside are flimsy, and we know there’s a herd of walkers not that far, and we know the Gov is right there. It’s grim, there’s no really good news on the horizon, and I’m kinda thinking that’s how things should be for at least a while.

Though, I was half-expecting Carol to come driving up to the prison at some point, like, “Oh, meant to tell you, Rick, you don’t make those decisions yourself. We’ll let the Council decide.”

Also, I laughed when Hershel got to the shotgun case. Because when there 19 walkers that need to be shot, Hershel’s got the right gun for the job. Reloading is for newbs.

Tyreese is far, far, far away from being able to replace Daryl on any level. He’s got to sort out his own crap and become simply a functioning member of the group first, or again.

And from what I’ve read, Abraham and his friends are doing relatively-okay on their own and he’s is a straight-forward military Alpha Male-not taking shit from anyone kinda guy. If anything, he’s set to bump heads with Rick and the other top dogs.

Ok maybe I missed something but you mean Abraham from the comic right? He is on the show? Or are we saying he will be a future character? Now I am confused.

Yep. The only person safer than Daryl is Rick, and that’s really only because of the source material lol.
Carl too. I guess a general rule of thumb is if you get shot in the chest/head and wake up just fine the next day the writing staff doenst have the stones to kill you.

It was announced I think last month that Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita will be appearing some time in Season 4.

Michael Cudlitz, whose face I recognize but couldn’t tell you from what (he was in the show Southland but I never saw it), is playing him.

Shooting an IWI Desert Eagle, for those that care.

Be an interesting post-apocalyptical weapon, in that the set typically comes with a .357, .44, and .50 barrel and magazine, thereby allowing you to switch ammo with ease.

Very large pistol, very heavy, very powerful (even compared to pistols using the same rounds), and pretty accurate because it is really a scaled down rifle in how it works.

Still, given you can smush a zombies head with a boot, not more first choice, as it is overkill. I’d rather have a .22 revolver with a long barrel and 20 shots.

Daryl is the only person I want to live.

Which is funny because he is not even in the comic book.

Looks like the governor got the Jamie Lannister treatment.

Wow, they really put the governer in a different light this episode though his past makes it kind of creepy… interested to see what happens next week, probably best episode this season…

The dude is still clearly crazy and I highly doubt he has changed based on the way he was standing outside the prison last episode. I agree it was a pretty good episode.

I wonder if the new Lilly is going to kind of be Lilly from the comics?

Aye maybe I spoke too soon about the shark being jumped. The “next week on…” looked like it’ll be interesting too. Maybe the Gov will come to loggerheads with his former lieutenant.

Are they plugging some guys album with all the emotional soundtrack sequences?

Last night’s episode was actually my favorite one in quite a long time. I really like the move to “Jaime Lannister” the Governor.

I guess I am the only one who did not like last night’s episode.

I enjoyed it, as well. I kept thinking the Gov. might go crazy and kill everyone. He has a weakness for little girls, and I respect that. Kinda like Dexter.

Notice the parallel between the little girl holding her stuffed animal and the zombie girl with Rick?

Also, I think the authors have been reading our threads:

trenches to trap walkers

18 wheelers

Now they need to start watching their campfires and, if they have to have one, sit away from the fire, or with their backs to the fire, so they can see what is coming.

If I had to guess the family the Governor is with dies or at least the little girl does and he goes nuts again. I think that is why they showed him outside of the prison.

That or he is looking for help from them which I highly doubt would happen.

Was anyone else thinking this when the gov was walking around in the opening scene?

I thought he may have wanted to give them over to Ricks group to better take care of them, as him and his henchmen go off into some far away place lol

I didn’t care for it that much because it pulled out a lot of cliches:

 1. Those two sisters are pretty ignorant considering how long they’ve had to figure out the way stuff works now ex. not knowing that head shots kill.

 2. There is no fucking way a dude with stage 4 cancer makes it that far.

 3. Governors voice was a mix between Gosling in Drive and Batman.

 4. The fact that the two sisters seem highly dependent on Brian even though they’ve had a really long time to figure stuff out on their own. The whole oxygen tank scene; what, were you waiting for him to show up so you could get him to do it? I mean, he only only had two days of oxygen left, that’s cutting it a little close.

 5. The whole, flinching-when-lady-is-fixing-you-up cliche.

 6. Yay, another 2 dimensional child character.

With that being said, one of the scenes got me wondering what the effects are of turning, on things like paraplegia? Is one paraplegic even after they turn?

^ Are you referring to the veteran who tried to commit suicide in the bathtub? His botched attempt ended up with him turning anyways… Or the wheelchair scene with the woman in the hospital/nursing home when she tries to go after the Gov.?

I would think you stay in the condition you were when you died; i.e., the body continues to decay & putrefy albeit at it seems a delayed state, & if you died a paraplegic you stayed that way in death/zombiefication

No, you’re not. That was the worst Walking Dead episode I have EVER seen. The last few have been so slow… I’m hoping the next one is better.
