So Rick and Carl took out that herd of walkers pretty easily, I just don’t get if they have all those weapons why they let them break through the wall I mean are they worried about gun shots attracting more. Also that girl is fucking creepy. I also bet the gov as a whole new posse of guys with his 2 usual goons still at his side.

I feel some shame that this has not crossed my mind. But YEAH!! Outside of the fact they would be worried about the noise why did they wait so long to go to that gun pit they have set up?
So we’re in season fucking 4 and the writers STILL haven’t noticed that Rick not just eye-fucking but eye-rimming and eye-ass-to-mothing the camera doesn’t add any depth or intensity to the scenes of this joke of a zombie sitcom?

Guns and ammo are very valuable, non-renewable resources (for them at least). They wanted to save them for use against hostile people rather than waste them on zombies since zombies aren’t dangerous from range like the Governor’s group or something similar.

That makes perfect sense, but they won’t be around to long if they let hoards of walkers in.
I didn’t understand why they didn’t have more of the people out helping to thin the herd of walkers before teh fence went down. It really wasn’t that difficult and would require only a few hours with a handful of people. A couple others putting up more supports and they are good to go.
What is it exactly that is bringing them all to that spot? Just being fed by the mice that 1 time? As you saw in the episode there are clearly still dogs wandering around- how come the walkers are so keen on this area and not chasing wild animals around…?

Yeah, that’s why:
-
They have the weapons sitting OUTSIDE BARREL UP for fuck’s sake. How about: oiled, clean, and ready-to-go somewhere they won’t fucking RUST, ROT, get shit in the barrel etc.
-
They shot their M4s on burst, thereby utilizing 3X ammo on one zombie. I guess this is to be cool for TV. Me, I’d flip the select fire switch to shoot one round at a time so I could take out 30 zombies with one PMag.
-
Why is Rick’s pistol set up for right hand cross draw (butt forward) when his fucking opposite hand is bandaged? Fashion? Now, I am sometimes a fan of a cross draw holster, if riding a horse (or a motorcycle), for example. And even if I benched stupid and hurt my shoulder, I’ve set up for cross draw. But I don’t set up for cross draw with my hurt hand.

The directors have clearly heard people making fun of scowling Michonne. Now, every scene she has a rictus-looking grin on her and some sort of light banter. Sorry, it’s like the Joker being humanized. Her character might be OK in a comic book (er, graphic novel), but either the character or the actress sucks. Please, please, please have the Governor snipe this ugly bitch and everyone talk for 37 minutes about what to do, followed by a 3 minutes zombie attack.
Seriously, all the Governor has to do is wait. These idiots will kill themselves.

One of the zombies probably put up some flyers around town to let the other zombies know that there are fresh brains at the prison.

Very true they wait til shit hit the fan to do anything.
The series is just coasting on auto-pilot. They got people hooked and then forgot about the need for good writing. Let’s bring back the Governor instead of moving things forward. The main problem is that these people are just existing. Maybe in “reality” that is what most people would do but this is television. Rick and friends need a goal.
How far have they gotten from his hometown? Not that far if they can drive back without worrying about fuel issues. IMO it would be better if it were more like a road trip. The idea should be about winning, not just surviving. Are they planning on living in the prison for 50 years?
Not at all excited to see the Governor back.
I think this show jumped the shark when Darryl killed Zombie Merle. They really need to get things moving again.

You make a solid point. We are how many episodes in and what is this season even about?
Season 1 had a clear overall plan, escape and find out what was going on
Season 2 Find semi permanant shelter and establish leadership and roles
Season 3 Fight woodbury and setup base campe at prison
Season 4 ???
Season 5 Profit
I feel like they’re all just waiting around to die.

And the thing is, who really cares if they all die? What does Rick want for his son? He wants him to just live out his life in the prison? He always talks about how important it is to survive, to make it, but is it surviving for the sake of just existing?

I’m actually now routing for them all to die in the most epic way, maybe for carl to get killed by the gov in front of Rick or something.

If the entire series doesnt end(when it is time to end it) with zombie carl biting rick who then blows his own brains out in the last second before the final credits I will be so disapointed.
Problem is the writers lost their balls a long time back. After lori nobody of substance is at threat to die, they couldnt even kill carol, just banish her for later episodes(umm didnt they do this last year? Except switch banish with locked in a closet).

I kind of figure the series would be more interesting if it followed the governor. He was an asshole, but on the other hand he was doing more than surviving. He organized a militia, had a (although very basic) Science program, and provided a sense of normalcy to his people.

I have a feeling Daryl is about to go. Rick tells Daryl about Carol, which causes him to leave the prison to search for her. On his search he gets captured/killed by the governor, making room for Tyreese/Abraham to take Daryl’s place in the group.

First, he has already been shot in the head and lived to tell about it. Second, I doubt that the fan favorite dies next, doenst make sense for ratings(lori and andrea killed off due to poor audiance response).

Yep. The only person safer than Daryl is Rick, and that’s really only because of the source material lol.
