EDIT- its not really a coincident. The original director for the series and movie are the same. Putting that out there before the e-police jump on me
Darabont has said he originally wanted Jane to play Rick, but he was unavailable/busy filming the (now cancelled) HBO show Hung.

Lame. Jane would have made a great Rick. I have a love hate relationship with Lincoln, but I do think he is the best actor on the show…not sure if compliment or insult…
Seeing as how Jane already played one of the most famous anti-heroes in comic book history I would agree that he would have been a better Rick. The dark side shit would be so much more believable with Jane.
Without a complete hijack I just want to say I loved him as Castle
Jane playing Castle allowed for much more character development. Don’t know why people don’t show more love for that movie. Stevenson however brought nothing but bad-assness to the table.

I think this is the worst season so far… Its same kind of drama as in the farm season but back then we still had Shane and there was some depth left to the characters. The way they are going now, seems like none of the characters really give that much of a fuck and there just isn’t much to get interested in on any of the characters. I never really liked Lincoln as Rick, ever since they killed Shane they’ve been building that ‘dark side’ in Rick but I just don’t see it as very believable. Carl and the rest of the kids are just basically all repeating the same broken record every single episode, and I felt embarrased just watching Hershel’s mindblowing speech and Maggies reaction to it… I say bring on Negan to stir some shit up and make this show something to look forward to again!
Maybe they’re getting ready to kill some people off and introduce some new guys.
I really don’t see the big reason behind that, right now the show only has a handful of people that would make a impact by dying. The rest have just faded to such a state that I don’t really think many viewers would really care if the writers decided to off them or not. You know when in the real good shows you have certain kind of ‘emotional bond’ to certain characters, like you are watching the show and they are in danger and you are shitting your pants hoping they don’t die? I can’t remember having that kind of feeling with this show this whole season, but it definitely was strong in 1st and 2nd season.
I don’t know if the lack of depth I’m currently feeling with the characters has more to do with the lack of proper writing or just lack of great actors. If its the latter then by all means killing off some old and worn acts to introduce some more versatile actors and new characters to the show might be just what the show needs. Right now though, killing off new characters left and right just to pass some time is getting old real quick, and when there is nothing to miss about the character in case, killing him/her off hardly makes any difference.
And not to mention all of a sudden we are supposted to be all over this new virus that is killing people who then turn in to zombies… Feels kinda familiar don’t you think?

I owned that DVD in college, must have seen it 20+ times. Love that movie. Jane was better than Stevenson and looked the part. He was supposed to be picked back up for a sequel before the stevenson project but it fell through, said he even put on another 12 lbs from his previous role.
I loved the first punisher. I received horrible reviews but I thought Jane nailed it. I don’t think I have even watched the follow up. I tried to get into that show Hung with Jane but I couldn’t. It’s too bad, I really like him so I hope he gets into something soon.
Ew. And she is in her late 40s, she just doesnt dye her hair. Which reminds me, why arent all the other older women sporting 6-10 inches of gray roots?
Carol was a Jamie Lee Curtis lookalike before the zombie apocalypse. True story.
Jamie Lee has a much bigger rack and NO I don’t care how old she is.

There is a trailer out there who he himself produced how he would have done it.

This clip of the sequel sums up the entire film pretty well:

Jane said he knew nothing about The Punisher before the first movie. By the time they were prepping the sequel, he knew more about the character than the producers -by that point he’d already written his own comic series called Bad Planet. Basically he disagreed completely with the direction the sequel was heading in and left.

Also, Carl is the John Conner of the zombie apocalypse, apparently.
Good episode overall. The prison is starting to fall, so of course the good ole Gov is gonna make his comeback to help it crumble. I’m sure he’s keeping tabs on the number of living people still in there. I just wonder if the two guys who left with him last season are still with him or not, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
Still want to know who was feeding the walkers at the fence.

My money is on either one of the girls or a woodbury survivor(Bob maybe).

Yeahhhh, I have my money on the older girl. She is out in la la land.
Were all the non-main characters in quarantine during last nights episode?? Gun shots in two separate parts of the prison and you do not see a single one of them show up to see what the fuck is up. I understand the supporting cast is useless but damn that is a whole different level of useless.

Yeah I just don’t trust Bob for some reason. My initial thinking was he was a spy sent in by the Governor, and that’s why Daryl found him “alone” out there, but he did help the people in quarantine last night so who knows.
Maybe the creepy kid is in cahoots with the Governor? I am having a hard time thinking the Governor has just been watching from the outside the entire time with no interaction with anyone from the prison.

I imagine the woodbury survivors would probably be resentful of Rick losing what could be seen as a good thing. Going from living in a town with strong leadership, to a much lower quality of life at the prison would probably be off puting for a lot of people. Besides Karen was the only survivor of the governor 's rampage at the end of season 3, so its not like he managed to alienate all of the remaining woodbury survivors.
