Honestly, if these are the two choices, I’d stay with the young hot feisty farmer’s daughter who’s given me poon than out with that dysfunctional group

x2, no question.

Honestly, I don’t know what the fuck she was doing, but you don’t need an interstate map to get to the center of a podunk town.

On another note, the outro song has been playing non-stop since Sunday:

So hot!!!

why would you ever leave that farm? Stay with poon and be safe with food (apparently) or leave with no poon, lack of food and zombies galore… geeee

I think the girl will end up leaving with the group

If not…lori and andrea seem pretty easy. And sophias mom might be ready to give away some mourning booty.

There are 3 poons. Plus daled is gay as a 3 dollar bill.

Shane’s gay.

This is the first episode that I have been annoyed with Lori.

It is still bugging me. Why the fuck did she think that she needed to follow Rick and Glen on their search for Hershal? Did she think she would find them drinking booze singing love ballads? When they left, their plan was to find Hershal and bring him home. What could she have added to expedite this?

Dumbass.
I didn’t understand that either. At first I couldn’t remember if the girl collapsed before or after Rick left, so maybe Lori was going to tell them to rush back. But Rick told Herschel the girl was in some kind of state, so wtf was Lori doing?
Even if Beth (I think that’s her name) collapsed after they left, what is the point still?

It’s not as if Rick is known for being a total dumbass to waste time lollygagging around during a zombie apocalypse. She must know that he wants to get back to family, allies safely as soon as possible.

It simply makes no sense.
Nope. She collapsed before Rick left. Rick mentions to Hershall that he needs to return to the farm because she’s collapsed (he doesn’t seem to give a shit). The only reason I could see that Lori went after them, is that Beth (? I don’t remember her namne either) developed a fever after Rick and Asian Kid left.

I guess they need someone to search for now that Sophia’s dead. I don’t know why they don’t use walkie talkies. Everyone can find a gun but no one can find a walkie talkie?

That seemed like good writing to me. Shane IS self-centered. Holding true to that even when he was going for “sensitive” was well done.

I am wondering if Daryl is going to get written as “bad buy” again.

I hope not … he might be an ambiguous character who might fall on one side of the line here and the other there … I don’t think he’ll be considered a bad guy, maybe more like a loner than anything. Daryl has the potential to be an extremely deep and complex character.

Plus, he’s not a character in the comics so the writers kind of have free range with what they can do with him. Shane was established in the comics as a “villain” and Rick “leader” and mostly everyone else…Daryl and T-Dog are the exceptions. And with T-Dog, I read an interview with Kirkman saying he is based off of a couple different characters … So Daryl is the only character (to my knowledge) of being soley a show entity.
I agree RE Daryl. I was worried that he was turning into a little bit of a cliche last season, being the angry tough guy with a secret good heart. It’s the male version of the hooker with a heart of gold. Hopefully they’ll give him some more depth because at this point he is my favorite character (although Rick took strides by shooting Rene from True Blood)
He sort of swung cliche to cliche from season 1 to season 2.

Started off - Tough, racist, redneck. A character put in place to root against.

Then - Holy shit, you mean bigot might still be able to be one of the antagonists? Kind of brave for the writers. I figured they wrote him in because 88’s/KKK types are one of the few completely safe bad guys.

Little Later - Tough guy heart of gold cliche like you mentioned. Still, he was one of the few characters who seemed skilled/crafty/adaptable enough to actually be surviving. This deep into the apocalypse I would think “exceptional” people would be the new “normal” for the living. The dumb/weak/non-coping are all among the walkers or are pretty much being kept alive by those who are not.

Robert A
I don’t remember Daryl being the bad guy in the first season or even saying anything racist. When they first introduce him, he’s keeping the camp fed by hunting.

x2. Daryl just got really pissed about them leaving his flesh and blood to be eaten by zombies, otherwise he works well with the group and is one of the most valuable members.

I don’t know where all the Shane hate comes from. Ok, I guess I do but he’s still saved a lot more lives than anyone else.

The person I can’t stand is T-Dawg. He hasn’t done anything the whole series except fumble around. His only accomplishment is somehow staying fat this whole time. He even tried to convince Dale to ditch everyone else while they looked for Sophia. Glen has killed more Zombies than T-Dawg.

Thanks for the additional fantasy fuel.
