Yeah, Carl fucked up big time this last episode. Don’t think felonies exist anymore though.

But, since you say he turned into a badass killer, maybe they are giving him a reason to do so.

Carl will kill every zombie he comes across from now on. With glee.

Perhaps the episode gave him a solid reason to learn when it is okay to kill and when it’s not?
If the spoilers hold true than they fucked up the most powerful way of doing that.

Bad.

I am hoping that season 3 brings us a consistent story arc and characters. Characters evolving is great. Characters morphing randomly is not. Up until this point so many character traits and “rules” of the universe show up and disapear that it seems the Walking Dead is more a series of short stories/mini-movies than a coherent series.

Yeah, this has been disappointing. And again why I love Breaking Bad so much. The evolution of the characters was so fucking good. I can’t wait for the last season of BB. If only every show held so true to the character development.

If the spoilers hold true, which I think they will judging by this episode, then I am done with it.

Well Dale dying was a metaphor and a half! There goes any semblance of a normal return to society and humanity…

Carl please take off the fucking hat!

If you guys were in this situation how would you approach life…would you be the type to hold on to hope that eventually there will be a cure and there will be a return to normal life, or would you tell yourself to accept the way the world is now and attempt to move on and continue to make the best of it (as much as you possibly can). The last episode had me thinking this…Im kind of torn on what thought process would allow me to continue to live on.
There is no cure since all the “infected” died before becoming zombies. There is no hope for a return to normal life for, most likely, generations. Too much of the population has been wiped out.

There is also nothing waiting for me in death. I have this life and that’s it. Make something of it or…nothing. There is no other choice.
My hope would be that eventually the main group(most of the population) of zombies would eventually rot to the point of not being a threat. I would be thinking that once it got to that point things would be a bit easier. That would keep me going.
That hope is most likely devoid of promise. Zombies are the least of their worries now. In any apocalyptic scenario like this, the immediate danger (zombies, nuclear holocaust/fallout, etc) that caused the crisis becomes secondary after the first few weeks. It becomes predictable and something that survivors can successfully manage with preparation and awareness.

Other humans, now desperate for resources, are much more dangerous. They are unpredictable and intelligent adversaries. If anything, things have gone from bad to much worse.

Things will not get better (closer to “normal”) until the fighting for resources is over, which could take years or decades.
I would hope Charlie is right…but unfortunately Steel Nation’s assertion seems like unfortunately the way the world will be for the long term future…

Which is why Randall should die…

The Hat is to show he wants to be more like Dad than anyone else (shane is in his life but not a dad replacement). Give Carl a chance. The writers are setting the kid up for something and they have been hinting at it for a while now. NO NOT WHAT HAPPENS IN THE COMIC.

But his future. Think about it.

How do you take a kid who knows only mom dad and play time and give him a chance to live in this new world of Death and almost no joy. You have to strip him down thru pain and show him the consequence of action or no action. Forget everyone else on the show. That kid is going to be the future and for him to be the leader he will need to be he must first go thru. I see that kid as Clint Eastwood in the last part of Unforgiven. His mistakes cost him a friend but what came after was a Unforgiving War Path.

Dale should have died more bad ass like the comics show but no going back now.

Guys need to stop looking at this show like a Zombie movie. A zombie movie is a Sprint Race a run to the finish. The Walking Dead is a triple Marathon and most of the people running with you will trip your ass up at any time before the race is done.

I’m playing catch up here. There is a book and comics? Which is better?

And Someone Killing Lori would be a great start or end of any season…Mid season break…Hell Rapture her away…Someone just get rid of that chick.

I feel like a little kid again lol. I’m going to have to check those out.

Michone…They better not mess this part up. Won’t spoil it but this was one part of the books that made me stop and think wow. They wrote something I have never seen or read of in any book or movie or show. To me Michone was the most thought out well written out of all of the walking dead.

Don’t Jack this up guys…don’t.

Damn just looked those up on Amazon. Expensive.

Get the compendium: http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Compendium-One/dp/1607060760

A great value considering it covers:

 • books 1-4 which covers
 • volumes 1-8 which covers
 • comics issue 1-48

The Wealth of Goodness that they can cover. They have not even touched the interesting story arch in the book. So far Both Seasons have only touched maybe 3 comics. If they can just kill the dead weight and walk away from the farm this series will explode with end of the world shit hit the fan goodness.

Yeah right. They wont touch even a fourth of the storylines, because the stories are so damn dark and intense. They are sanitizing it to appease the audience, what other explanation is there for (COMIC SPOILER) the fact that shane is still alive and not shot to shit by carl?

I know man AND THAT SUCKS…OK NOT A SPOILER JUST SOME MILD HINTS…

NOT A REAL SPOILER!!!1

With the topics of RAPE, AMPUTATIONS, CANNIBALISM AND HELL THE WORST PARTS OF THE END OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE they would have to turn the series into a NC17. I wish they would be brave and at least try though.

Brilliant! lol

Edit: Took me a good half hour to decide, but I bought the Compendium. I’m such a stingy consumer.

Brilliant episode. Really liked it. However what rick needs to do is take off his belt, get carol and beat the living crap out of him.

Again Bioneck Redneck FTW!

Bionic Redneck FTW

Carl made a mistake but he did it for a solid reason. He does not feel safe. His Mom is a Piece of shit who leaves him with strangers at the drop of a hat. He wants to be like the others and be able to protect himself. And everyone is telling him No.

He fucked up and learned a hard lesson. The zombie could have turned 200 did ways after the kid ran so it’s not like the kid put the zombie in dale’s bed. Dale fucked up and died. Period.
