The Ultimate Internet Tough-Guy

Well, you see…it started out as a “kick vroom’s ass” get together, but one thing led to another…and, you know…which is fine, if that’s your thing.

Btw, you guys still owe me for the Taco Bell run and the beer. You can pay me back at this week’s get-together.

Irish makes a good point.

Someone makes threats online, everyone calls them a coward.

Someone actually follows through with those threats, and now everyone calls him an idiot.

Lesson learned: Don’t make threats over the internet. You’ll end up either a coward or an idiot.[/quote]

morality is relative to the situation.

he is an idiot because he followed through on idiotic threats.

Are there folks out there who don’t live in trailers?

I know Vroom does.

Heh, too bad I just finished moving.

I got tired of all the Internet tough guys threatening to burn me out of house and home…

I personally don’t find this quote that funny. I know a few special Olympians and they lead fuller lives than many of the fully abled people out there.

I actually had to break up a fight at the club I work at that originated on the internet.

There’s a football website over here that covers regional leagues. One guy posted some stuff about an opponent and his ‘mental softness’, the mentally soft opponent worked out who wrote it and saw him at our club.

I’m just wondering if anyone is going to photoshop his whacked out picture.

Irish, sounds like you are trying to set yourself up as an Internet badass… all, yeah man, that’s cool, admirable, and other stupid horseshit.

Simply acting tough is not admirable, knowing when to, or doing so in the right circumstances, that is much more admirable. In short, without wisdom, what’s that point? Without the brains and self-control you are just a tool.

Anyay, you nerds won’t find my trailer now, sure it moved slowly, but I painted it before I moved it… so you wouldn’t recognize it!

its admirable. if he was on T-Nation throwing threats people like you would call him an idiot for not backing up his cvlaims. Now that he DID back up his claims, hes a stupid fool?

grow up.

I honestly don’t even want to get in on this debate. But according to the article.

What did he say he would do?
What did he do?

Irish, sneaking around and lighting this dudes home (yes, I know it’s a trailer) on fire isn’t what I would consider tough or walking the walk. Maybe if he went up to him mano a mano and challenged him to a knock down drag out you could argue that, but this guys behavior is like keying someone’s car or slashing their tires only much worse.

It was sneaky vindictive cowardly behavior IMHO. I know hope you don’t go off all half cocked on me because I disagreed with you. I don’t want to have to fly to Ireland and burn your apt. complex down.

so what if i am? im not trying ot get a popularity contest award on the internet believe it or not. actually, i would be more inclined to say that about you, being the studly hero that you are with your “are you a beginner 1, 2 and 3 must be on the way now”

we all love attention dont we vroom?

if stating my opinion makes me look like im trying to be a cool dude on the net, then what should i do? should i stop posting? or should i be false and try and make every one happy?

actually, fuck it. il post what ever the fuck i want. i dont need you to say “hell yeh irish good points”

just say nothing.

I smell bullshit all over your “aree you a beginner thread” because theres only need for 1. not 2. i keep my comments to myself however because i dont feel the need to call out people who stroke their egos unless i am provoked, which in this case i feel i was. very rudely in fact when there was no need

Simply acting tough is not admirable,

you know what, i agree with you. acting tough doenst mean shit. but carrying out what you say you will do proves you have balls. which was MY opinion. not a malicious atempt to become the next bad ass since professor x left. you can scroll through all my psots seeing as you have the time and you will notice i generally intend on making a joke out of the majority of my posts. but there are the occasional serious posts like here where my i give my opinion.

knowing when to, or doing so in the right circumstances, that is much more admirable. In short, without wisdom, what’s that point? Without the brains and self-control you are just a tool.

you dont have to be smart to be tough. dont try and warp the meaning of tough. smart guys generally dot get into these situations because they’re smart.
like you, you big fuckin hunk. go write another heroic thread for beginners.

that whole piece you wrote smells like horseshit.

the man done what he said he would do.

its admirable. if he was on T-Nation throwing threats people like you would call him an idiot for not backing up his cvlaims. Now that he DID back up his claims, hes a stupid fool?

following through with a shitty idea is “admirable” ? and it “commands respect” ?

wtf ?

this is just about as stupid as the welsh rugby fan who said "i’ll cut my balls off if we win " an then actually did. yeah, he did what he said, but what he said was fucking stupid and therefore his actions were also fucking stupid. stupid actions and stupid people don’t command anything. they are forgotten.

what would be admirable is if these guys had the discipline to turn themselves around before going over the edge. that is admirable. that is something we all could learn from and hold as an example. that would command respect.

At least it took him out of the gene pool.
