I was to busy having sex to watch something as lame as this. OU is better.

2009 OU Sooners = lame. At least some good OU football was shown in this film…even though they still couldn’t put Miami away. Just like this season.
Having sex with some pasty midwesterner Im sure.
PS on T-Nation if you need to show off that youre one of the 5 guys who posts here and knows what a vagina feels like, well…

Ahhhhhhhhhhh SHIT!

I never had use for Da U. See 14-10. This useless bunch of talented clowns lost as many MNCs with their antics as they won. See PSU Bama, OSU. Somehow during the 1987 Fiesta bowl these tough guys got alligator arms and forgot how to catch.[/quote]
None of which takes away from establishing themselves as one of the best programs in college football back then. Winning 3 out of 5 national championships from 1986-1992 was not bad for a “useless” group of clowns.
And I thought we had football fans here. What man can’t appreciate 86’-92’ Hurricanes?? Hell…I’m a Longhorn to the fullest…but I at least recognize Miami’s offering to the greatness that is college football. Hell…that doesn’t even touch on the mass migration of great players who went on to the NFL. Oh well. Yall suck…
but not as good as Ct.Rock. He likes my puddin’ pop.

Ohio State? when’s the last time they beat an SEC team in a bowl?

When is the last time they played an SEC team in a bowl game (serious question). Miami is in the ACC just in case you were thinking they are an SEC team.
I liked Miami growing up but I liked all three FL teams for some reason. I caught a rerun of this last night. They definelty had talent but they have more personality. I also got my first 2 Live Crew dubbed tape in 4th grade (89). Then Luke kicked ass on Geraldo…
EDIT: tried to embed Uncle Lukes’ Da U but I this is my first time using a computer since playing Oregon Trail in 89 as well.
I love how the guy said he was going to knock out the kick returner on the first play of the game, and then goes down and does exactly what he says he’s going to do. Epic.

Yes…that was pretty crazy…ripped the Longhorns apart. That Miami crew got a lot of hate…warranted somewhat because of their antics…but they received a lot of underhand racism and stereotyping. But I will say that I wish sports (and sports media) was less politically correct like back then. People should be able to say what they wanna say…but still be man enough to stand by it and reap the consequences.
And what about Jimmy Johnson…he was a tyrant of a fuckin coach. He didn’t give a shit…lol. How do you tell the University of Miami president basically to “fuck himself.” LOL.

That’s just cold Big Boss. You Texas fans are all the same…
Despite being born with burning hatred for Miami, I thought the show was good. The part where they called Bosworth in the hotel was amusing. It is also obvious that Bosworth was just like these guys and would have fit well at Miami during this time period.
The football programs paralleled each other during the 1980s. Both OU and Miami were perceived as renegade programs with coaches that did what they wanted. The two programs had great athletes with questionable character, and both were investigated and placed on probation by the NCAA. The NCAA even talked of giving OU’s football program the death penalty.
People forget that OU had it share of “characters” during the 1980s as well.

LOL…that was just a little jab at Brother Chris for calling the show lame and the need to tell us about his homo-sex life. At least OU gave a better fight than the Longhorns back then.
You are right about their programs…but it’s crazy how Miami seemed to have more racial/social hate and stereotyping thrown there way. But I will say how they channeled all of that into their favor was amazing.
Also,I’ve heard that OU had a lot of “red-neck racist” stereotyping thrown their way…and their black players being called “slaves,Uncle Tom’s” back in the 80’s and 90’s. I’ve heard similar from former UT players.

Miami did get more attention, but that might just be due to University of Miami being located in a big city with a larger media market. OU, on the other hand, is located in a small college town in the Southern Plains.

I wouldn’t doubt any of it.
One of the most spectacular moments in college football history happened with “the pass” by Doug Flutie at Boston College on the last play of the game against Miami.

Equally epic was footage shown on this documentary of Alonzo Highsmith crying after the loss to Penn St. in the Fiesta Bowl (1984 season).
Paving the way for “touch guys” like crybaby Tebow.
