The TV Programme LOST Thread

I have searched for any discusion about this tv programme on here and found none, which is very suprising as it is very popular.

I hope that as a collective you are not all LOST haters and I stand to be flamed to death.

I used to hate the programme myself, but now im addicted, it still annoys me a little at times, like ‘where do they keep getting tarpaulin sheets from’ etc…

but anyway I have managed to download and watch series 2 up until episode 22, can any of you guys in the U.S. let me know when episodes 23 and 24 are due to air if they have not already.

Cheers.

The 2 hour season finale is on this Wednesday. My wife and I watch it. It’s an O.K. show IMO.

Finale is next wednesday (eps 23 and 24).

They got the tarps from the wreckage apparently. They explained that in one of the podcasts at: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/

Im from the UK but im totally obsessed as well, it is by far the best program on TV.

A great website is:

I’m so obessessed with this show it’s not even funny. My wife and I both. I even went into it with doubt…thinking it was just going to be like Gilligan’s Island. But nothing is farther from the truth. It’s just amazing what the network has done with it and keep making it bigger and bigger. Two weeks ago they had a fake commercial for an organization and if you called the fake number it would be a LOST recording that gave you clues and what not. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

That show is AWESOME. We never miss an episode and record it weekly.

It’s funny that this thread just came out, because I have only just started watching it from the beggining of series one, i’ve just seen the first three episodes, and am downloading the fourth.

On my way to addiction
Alstan.

Oh, man. Dude, you’re gonna FREAK OUT by the time you get to this season.

Lost is OKAY. But you get the sense at times, that the writers don’t have a clue as to which way the story line is headed.

It’s like they didn’t expect it to go past the first season and now they are scrambling to play catch up. If you want to see some truly excellent writing, go to the video store and rent episodes of “Rescue Me”, “Six Feet Under” and of course “The Soprano’s”.

Season one was great, but for most of season two it has been “Who the fuck would act like that in reality?” So many “We have discovered this thing, now let’s not tell anyone about it” moments, it’s getting silly

At least it got somewhat better now, towards the end of the season (At least Sayid seems to have his head screwed on right). Let’s hope for a decent finale then

Anyone have a login for this site, I bet its pretty crap anyway.

Nobody has cracked it, doubt it would be worth it either.

Have you played the lost experience on the hansofoundation.org? Thats pretty cool.

can someone PM me a link to where i can download sesaon 2? i watched the whole season 1 on dvd in 5 days while sick, at home, on the couch. pretty addictive. like 8-10hrs a day watching LOST.

anyway, a link please?

Not that I would know cough but going to torrentspy.com and typing in lost may yield favourable results cough.

Lost is hands down the greatest show on TV right now. I also watch the Ultimate Fighter.

I hear Alias is good as well. Can anyone vouch for this?

You want someone to vouch for your opinion?

lost is good, I prefer Battlestar Galactica myself as I feel that story is a helluva lot stronger, but despite that I never miss an episode of Lost.

i didnt get into it @ 1st but now i’m totally addicted. i use bitcomet and et the best torrents from isohunt.com. this is one of the best, well-written tv shows out there, (with sfu). its a shame there isnt some unifying theory to explain it all (admitted by producers) but its still awesome. i’m in uk too - cant believe how many people are bitching about the show because they dont understand it tho they flock to bbrother everynight.

jin is an awesome charater my fav, and anna lucia…hotnesss!

according to the extras on the season one dvd they have the storyline planned out for the first five years on the island. i suppose it’s all subject to change tho

I also just started watching the series a little while ago. I’m all caught up in time for the finale. I remember reading in the paper about a month ago that there would be content exclusive to the website, mini episodes, that wouldnt need to be watched to follow the show, but would nevertheless tie in. i poked around the website, but the podcasts dont sound like what I’m looking for. Anyone else heard anythign about this?

Correct. The writers know where they need to be at certain points in the series and have the bigger story mapped out. They dont know exactly what they will be doing from week to week though.

There is a game called the lost experience which revolves around the Hanso Foundation.

Info about it can be found at http://www.lostpedia.com and on the official abc site. The game involves “hacking” the hansofoundation.org site and other sites the creators have set up.

There is a also a book called Bad Twin coming out, which Sawyer read the manuscript of in series 2. Its meant to be written by Gary Troup (anagram= purgatory) who died in the plane crash, but its really ghost written by a famous author (maybe James Patterson or Steven King). This also ties in to the game and things that happen in the series.

One more thing is that the actor who plays Hugh McIntyre on the Hanso Foundation website is making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel live as his character. Apparently he will be slating the show, saying how it is portraying the Hanso Foundation in a bad light.

The writers are trying to blend the show into reality, which I think is a pretty cool way to keep the fans involved.
