Were it more than 10, I’d also have some stuff by Parkway Drive on there and Dry Kill Logic - Rot, Dry Kill Logic - Boneyard and Spineshank - New Disease… epic stuff if you like metal that will make you want to punch holes in skulls (the mindset I find helps me throw the most weight around).
Shit that slap

But damn boys some of music you guys listen to I have never heard of. Where do you guys look for new music?
that i enjoy listening to vs what i enjoy listening to while lifting are sometimes overlapping other times not. i get your point though X, i’ll post a list tomorrow, i’m going to sleep now.
also, sometimes certain songs are good for for certain types of lifts, sometimes it’s about moving weight violently, other times it’s about being in “it.” certain mood for feeling/holding contraction concentric shit and otherwise.
sometimes i’ll repeat the same song 10 times in one gym session.
Whatever is in the Cd player, or Devildriver, or Led Zeppelin. It’s my place so the suck only goes so far.
Permanently on the banned list, those murderer loving scumbags, Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down, who I consider the most annoying band ever. Otherwise, play what you want if you’re there.
The new gym that I joined is more “PL oriented” and hardcore than any other I’ve ever been to. Ironically, most of the time, the station on the radio is “Disco and soft hits of the 70s/80s”.
My three last PR’s were completed during:
“You Light Up My Life” - Debbie Boone
“I Can’t Go For That” - Hall and Oates
“Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band” from Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk (Star Wars soundtrack put to a disco beat)

1-10: Dethalbum II, lately.
The new Dethklok album is awesome, I really like it. If you like metal you should definitely take a look at it.
Wow, I guess I’m a lot different than ya’ll. You did say personality, X, so you’re about to get a big does of my personality.
“This is Halloween” - The Nightmare Before Christmas
Pork and Beans - Weezer
Citizen Soldier - Three Doors Down
It’s Not My Time - Three Doors Down
“Everything” - Lifehouse
“She is Love” - Parachute
“Iris” - Goo Goo Dolls
“I’m Still Here” - John Rzeznik
Dani California - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hotel California - Eagles
I literally love these songs–each one is important to me in some different way, it’s not just about how they sound. Music can be like a scent; it becomes associated with something, and whenever it’s heard, that association is made again, and it can be inspiring. That’s how some of these songs are with me. Others, I like the lyrics. I’ve heard them all so many times sometimes they’re the soundtracks of my dreams.
For some stupid reason, i can’t use my headphones/earplugs when i lift. Fucks up my breathing.
But if im at the gym alone, and can put on my own CD, or if im doing cardio, it usually is a mix of cheesy inspirational music, and angry music that gets me in that “Fuck you” attitude.
