A lot of times I’ll just listen to The Blueprint, by Jay-Z but since this is a playlist thread, here are my Top 10 songs. Not all of them are songs that would pump you up, but I don’t like it if all the songs are like that anyway…
Whoah…X. Nice idea. Although,my playlist might scare you…haha. I have a very broad “taste” of music for training.
This is a sample of my 100 plus songs on my Ipod right now:
Smashing Pumpkins - Quiet
Alchemist ft. Snoop,Jada,Pusha T - Lose Your Life
Mastodon - This Mortal Soil
Mnemic - Psykorgasm
Three Six Mafia - Hit a Muthafucka
Fear Factory - Bonescraper
Massive Attack - Butterfly Caught
In Flames - Versus Terminus
Do Or Die - Alpha and Omega
Dark Tranquility - Nothing To No One
I hook this shit up to the stereo system while I’m doing my circuits and bagwork…and lifting days.

Exactly. I was trying to avoid that by making the top ten song you actually listen to.
I could give a shit if someone doesn’t think Keri Hilson is “hardcore”. I like the damn song and I train to it. Some of these posts make me wonder though if they are for real or just showing off.
If you like the Backstreet Boys, post it. Yes, you will get laughed at, but I will still respgiggleect you.
From Autumn to Ashes vs Dead Poetic- Lollita’s Medicine (it’s a mashup and it’s incredible!)
Alter Bridge- White Knuckles
Brokencyde- Get Crunk
Atreyu- bleeding mascara
All that Remains- Two Weeks
Mudvayne- Scarlet Letters
I basically just put those on repeat. Labrynthian is the best PR song ever though. Like 45 seconds in he screams “Give me the strength to move this mountain!!!” and that’s when you start the lift.
Black Betty- spiderbait Spiderbait - Black Betty - YouTube I love to come out of the locker room to this song, kind of like a WWE wrestler making his way to the ring, ghey I know but it gets me going.

My workouts usually follow a trend, I hit the mastodon/metallica/meshuggah for my main lift like bench/squat/deadlift whatever. Then after I hit that, it’s like phase one of my workout is over, and it’s accessory time, so I turn on the dre/notorious/big L. Usually I can’t get hyped up to rap (unless its DMX) and then I can’t get into the ‘rep’ mood with metal/rock.
I arrange my beats to fit my lifts. No one wants to hear meshuggah when banging out a set of curls, you need something smooth.
Bach - Prelude and Fugue #2 from the Well Tempered Clavier

This reminds me, while not quite on the same level, I have lifted to the Last of the Mahicans soundtrack a few times, and Leaving Las Vegas. Leaving Las Vegas soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired.
