Being on the mat can teach you many things about life. Last night lesson learned:
“Thus the expert in battle moves the enemy, and is not moved by him.”
Thought for the day:
“Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more.”

Some alternative choices for EDC:
Hi.
I would like to publicize a thing the VA did right instead of focusing on their “areas of opportunity.”
Recently, after having lost 2 during a remodel mixed in time with travel, and three years later, I had lost my hearing aids generously provided.
I called a nearby clinic and asked what I could do.
They made me an appointment and the hearing aidd are going to be here three weeks after the appointment which I like well enough.
Thing is, on the civilian market those suckers are expensive AF. My shame for losing the first two sets was almost too much for me to even inquire about more.
They took up the case with a good attitude + vigor add I feel the world should know they’re not all bad with guys ok gurneys dying in the hallway.
In the past I have complained very loudly to ask regarding what i felt Was substandard care for us vets. Because of that, I believe it appropriate to counter that with this good report.
So kudos to this clinic not only for doing the job, but also for doing it well.

Hey Idaho.
Enjoyed this small edc knife article
Bro in law passing through on a solo tent camping tour from CA.
I ask if packing.
No, too tough to get CA permit.
I say what about breakdown 22 or Judge, anything?
He says campgrounds safe
What about when on trail hours out?
No real reply…
Me - Good Luck…while motionlessly shaking my head.
@treco I’m unclear. He is going from where where to where? Thx bro
He is from California and traveling as far as Texas and hitting several different states on multi week camping trip.
It just seems ill advised camping/hiking solo (imo non solo too) and zero weapon against man or beast - psychos, hogs, snakes, coyotes or larger if going north.
Yup, I think it is ill advised to do that myself.
Totally agree with you
Good to see you are still here. I hope everything is going well with your family. I will never understand this thought process. You are basically leaving your protection to faith and hope. May he never encounter any violence.

Some observations:
Always, always lock you vehicle.
I you decide to act to a crime in progress, you must respond with violence and action. Pulling someone from a vehicle usually means their head and chest area are bent down, which leads them open to knee strikes. One does not “play around” in a street fight. You must put them out of the fight as fast as possible.
I don’t know if the victim knew there were other car jackers or not, but, 4 on 1 is not a recipe for success, even with the most skilled.
The victim was very lucky the attackers were unarmed and unskilled. Any of the four could have had a gun, knife, etc and he would have died. Once the victim was swarmed, his only thought such have been to disengage and create distance from the attackers, not trying to hold on to leg of the one trying to run.
Great analysis!
It appears that the victim was pretty typical, “That’s my damn car get out of here” type man, and looked strong enough to deal with the guy he pulled out. That was not too bright to do. I’d have locked the door and called the police personally. Then when the others showed, agree that was time to get the hell out of Dodge, let them take what they wanted.
The things you point out are spot on dude. They were unarmed and unskilled or the guy would have gotten dead for what he did.
I hope I am not the only person who takes the lesson here.
Thank you for posting and talking about it!

without reading the article, first thing I think is that a round busting a hip girdle guarantees an attacker goes to the ground.
